Opoona screens

Opoona screens

Role-playing and adventure videogame Opoona, recently confirmed for a March 25 2008 North-American release date and the same year for Europe, is having fun with more than thirty new images. Already available in Japan where it had a shy reception, let's hope it will have a better success on the other parts of the globe. One of its particularities is the fact you can play through it using only one hand with the Nunchuk, so the lazy gamers will be served.

One-handed games... Wasn't that selling point for DOAX? But I digress. If Japan felt this was too weird, it's as good as dead everywhere else.

With different character design, the game could have sold tenfold everywhere.

Yea, but I prefer it being original than made for dollars

No More Heroes seems to be doing quite well over in the US.

  • Melmoth
Melmoth @Tiz: Most big games were larger than what a standard CD-ROM disc could store, so it wasn't unusual that pirated games were lacking audio tracks or movies. (1 Hour ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth @Tiz: Sega used a proprietary GD-ROM format (about 1GB discs) for storage. It did not stop piracy though as you with a bootdisc could start cd-r copies without the need to hard mod the console. (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I think it was apparent to people.. even before the system launched.. that the early launch of the Dreamcast was risky. So I can see how EA might want to play hardball to sweeten the deal on said risk (4 Hours ago)

GriftGFX They also sold 2K and exited the console business... so maybe it wasn't all the best course of action after all :D (4 Hours ago)
