Our PC videos of Aragami

Our PC videos of Aragami

Aragami started as a student project in Barcelona but the game got some attention thanks to its demo and the many influences the developers had, among which Tenshu, Metal Gear Solid, Mark of the Ninja and Disohonored. The following videos were captured in co-op mode with Davton, and though we haven't been able to complete the game before the embargo lifts, we wanted to share our experience with you guys. So far, it's been really fun to shadow kill enemies with a friend, though we encoutenred a few annoying bugs (but the game has been patched twice since we played so we hope they have been fixed). WIth its nice art style, its RPG aspect allowing to upgrade the character's abilities provided you find enough scrolls, this is a game that appeals to us. We'll continue playing for sure and will let you know if our first impressions were good. Until then, enjoy the videos!

Note: The game will be available later today at €14.99, £19.99, $19.99.

Was the level design intended from the ground up for co-op or does it just work really well in co-op? I'm curious if they intended the game to played with a friend.

It works well as you can time your attacks to get rid of enemies that are close to each other. It's also nice to be able to take care of one side of the map while your friend is dealing with the other. That being said, I don't know if co-op was something they had in mind when they built the levels. We have only been able to see the first levels, but some are actually big enough for 2 players to have fun.

KORNdog [url] This is looking pretty nice (11 minutes ago)

KORNdog Not liking the prey demo at all. Combat is garbage and the music is friggin weird. Goes all crazy for no reason, then just ends in the middle of combat. Looks pretty shite too. I'm so disapointed (2 Hours ago)

MrWhite They'll have some dickhead on stage waffling tech babble in our ears about how native it's 4k is, and a staged gameplay demo and WIP trailers. (5 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite They literally have to show amazing final products, no bullshit, ready to roll, no delays, as you see it, day one. That isn't happening (5 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite we all know that showing and promising stuff isn't the same as actually delivering, and from past experiences from no matter who, it never turns out that way (5 Hours ago)

MrWhite @KORNdog: I'll bet they will have an impressive E3 due to the buzz of the new hardware, however... (5 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog But every chance of introducing that variety they either drop, cancel or don't follow through with improved sequels. E3 needs to be amazing from them. (6 Hours ago)
