Our PC videos of Aragami

Our PC videos of Aragami

Aragami started as a student project in Barcelona but the game got some attention thanks to its demo and the many influences the developers had, among which Tenshu, Metal Gear Solid, Mark of the Ninja and Disohonored. The following videos were captured in co-op mode with Davton, and though we haven't been able to complete the game before the embargo lifts, we wanted to share our experience with you guys. So far, it's been really fun to shadow kill enemies with a friend, though we encoutenred a few annoying bugs (but the game has been patched twice since we played so we hope they have been fixed). WIth its nice art style, its RPG aspect allowing to upgrade the character's abilities provided you find enough scrolls, this is a game that appeals to us. We'll continue playing for sure and will let you know if our first impressions were good. Until then, enjoy the videos!

Note: The game will be available later today at €14.99, £19.99, $19.99.

Was the level design intended from the ground up for co-op or does it just work really well in co-op? I'm curious if they intended the game to played with a friend.

It works well as you can time your attacks to get rid of enemies that are close to each other. It's also nice to be able to take care of one side of the map while your friend is dealing with the other. That being said, I don't know if co-op was something they had in mind when they built the levels. We have only been able to see the first levels, but some are actually big enough for 2 players to have fun.

GriftGFX @KORNdog: Still very different. More like Diablo but the "game feel" is not as polished. Systems are more well designed, but I have to give it to Diablo when it comes to fit and finish. (9 Hours ago)

GriftGFX The economy is unique and will probably seem strange to new players.. but every system is cleverly tied together in PoE. (10 Hours ago)

GriftGFX And yes.. the passive skill tree is pretty insane. It has a healthy mix of rigid decision making in its passive tree and flexibility in the active skill system. (10 Hours ago)

GriftGFX Path of Exile is an endlessly playable action RPG and Pillars of Eternity is a turn-based single player game w/ a party system. (10 Hours ago)
