Our PS4 videos of Mortal Kombat X

Our PS4 videos of Mortal Kombat X

In addition to being a good fighting game, Mortal Kombat X also causes many discussions between the fatality lovers and the brutality of the anti-DLC kommunnity. A very large part of our audience is here for the video quality and not for arguing, so we'll keep it simple and leave you with Jax, Kitana, Mileena, Raiden and Ermac, some charming people particularly attracted by the art of slaughter.

Looks like Mortal Kombat became Mortal Combat. :(

Finally. Was almost convinced GamerSyde has boycotted the game and won't post vids (Being the only site with high quality gameplay clips from PS4/XB1).

Awesome stuff, especially the Jacqui vid.

It's a fun game! Highly recommended for fans! some characters I think they spent more time on than others, but, on the whole I've been please with it! Thanks for the UL.

Game should be boycotted, barely works ffs. Even if i was to overlook the first few days before they patched the game it still crashes all the time.

Also it's MK. Liked MK9 and injustice? Prolly gonna like this too.

Hey meg, the crashing error is easily solved. You just need to boot the game in offline mode, then close it, then reload it in online mode. I've not had a problem since. (i'm assuming you're on a PS4?)

No i'm on PC. The game randomly crashes like every time i rematch or quit out of a fight. It's ridiculous.

PC version handled by High Voltage is a mess, even more of a mess than MK9 and Injustice which only had netcode issues. I can't get MKX working without stuttering on lowest settings in windowed 720p mode, while getting steady 60fps on Med-VeryHigh 1080p in GTAV.

I had no performance issues once i updated my drivers, but then i suppose i have a fairly decent rig and a GTX 780 SHOULD be able to run this game without any trouble. Still, the crashing, the net code, the messed up lobby system for online just doesn't work well. Add on top of that the fact that the balancing feels kinda...questionable too and meh, it's not a great experience.

Ick, that's nutz...botched the port >.< you'd think they'd have that figured out by now. I do agree on the balancing...there are certain characters with MUCH easier strings and setups. I can wreck face with both Raiden and Ermac...but Ermac took a lot more learning, timing and finesse than Raiden did. That could also be my own weakness as a player, but, it's how it seems to me.

I think there are by FAR worse balancing issues in the system as such, not just character specifics. Like EVERY string is natural combo, and the only way to get out of it is to use your Combo Breaker, which is 2 goddamn bars of meter. This also completely wrecks meter management as you will always need to save your meter for breakers, or get your shit ruined if you don't. I mean i had no difficulty at all figuring out how to consistently do 30-33% damage with combos, without meter use. It took me like half an hour to figure out a few combos i could use as staples, and i know that people out there with more skill than me has figured out how to go up to 40 and even 50%. So that breaker is incredibly important, yet such a bad solution to the problem. All they'd need to do is nerf their goddamn combos a bit, or force the players to actually work for their combos, not just land a quick jab that then leads to a full combo. But then, these are issues i had with MK9 as well.

This obviously also affects how characters work. I'm having a way harder time initiating combos with Kitana than, say Kenshi who can stand on the other side of the goddamn screen and still get a natural combo string going on me. Which feels like total BS and is pretty much impossible to punish.

Also the hitboxes are super weird. Am i the only one noticing this? It makes some peoples projectiles really bananas. Like Sub Zero, get a goddamn pixel of your toe colliding with his ice hadouken and you are stuck, ripe to get comboed right in the face. This makes the zoning aspect really dumb imo.

Also the game attracts and encourages the worst assholes. A lot of people seem to not get this complaint but i don't see how it's not valid. Every scumbag you play online will use goddamn x-rays and fatalities in EVERY game. It's so annoying, and eats up so much time i'd rather spend just playing the goddamn game. Instead i'm forced to watch some wankers gory gloat session for the 23549th time. I've got like 20 hours in the game so far, most spent playing online, and it gets so annoying after a while. I just want to play the next match,'s 25 seconds of bullshit for you! Also, mr. wanker who does the annoying bullshit, have som extra coins and xp for no apparent reason!

Couldn't agree more on the x-rays...some of those take forever. IT was cool at first but gets rather annoying when you're trying to blow through matches. Depending on the character, you can break some of their combos without a combo breaker. You have some control on your falling and can move out of their hit zone to keep the chain going, but, that is easier said than done and requires you to know that incoming combo well. I like the idea of rewarding combos, but some of the multiplying that goes on is garbage...especially with mileena. Part of the reason I like playing Ermac is simply for his MASSIVE ability for escape. MK has definitely carved out it's own gameplay style, for better and worse. I've never considered myself anything but a casual player when it comes to fighters. From that standpoint, picking up MK and playing with a few buddies at a party, take a nostalgia trip or just to deal out some pent up rage, it really gives me the fix.

On the plus side most (but not all) of the modifiers for the living towers are quite fun. Some are irritating as fvkc, but others add a fun dynamic to things.

  • KORNdog
KORNdog so i wouldn't be surprised if there was a 150-250 gig SSD that effectively has an M.2-like set up just for the game you're currently playing. the rest are stored on a large HDD (1 Day ago)
