Our videos of Batman Arkham VR

Our videos of Batman Arkham VR

Batman: Arkham VR is probably one of the most anticipated titles of the PS VR launch this week. Putting on the Batsuit has never been more real in a video game, but it's never been that short either, as it only takes about 90 minutes to complete. That being said, beyond its limited gameplay mechanics and its short length, this is by far one of the most immersive VR experiences on PS VR. Some might think the price tag is a bit too much, but considering that 3D movies can sometimes be almost that expensive, but are also clearly less immersive, we believe it's worth your money if you're a fan. We now leave you with a few videos, though the best way for you to understand what to expect would be to try out the game yourself if you can.

On the plus side

+ Superb environments
+ Great atmosphere
+ PS Move controllers put to good use
+ Gameplay mechanics may be simple, but they're truly pleasant
+ Being the Bat!

On the downside

- Very short
- Not much replayability
- No vehicles to drive/pilot
- Basic gameplay mechanics
- Ending is a bit too abrupt, we would have loved to see more

Not bad VR game for start but would be much better with arms not just hands...and with better movement.
It was funny when you tried to hit the guy :D

Thanks for the video. What are the odds of you guys getting the new Star Wars Old republic: Knights of The Eternal Throne 6 minute trailer?

I knew it would be more a vr demo than a game.

Looks quite boring tbh.

Looks fun but the lack of means to move around really bothers me. Teleporting is not a solution. I wonder if I could handle the motion sickness if you could move with sticks like in normal games. Also yeah, just another paid demo instead of a full-price game - publishers don't want to risk by betting on a full-scale AAA VR game but at the same time the lack of some killer VR games is what stops many people from buying into it.

GriftGFX FFA deathmatch is pretty fun in OW even though it's totally not balanced. Great Tracer practice. (7 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog The Orville episode 3 was amazing. Very heavy topic but handled it extremely well. (8 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I wasn't really setting up any specific comparison at all. I said modern phones and many PCs. That's pretty vague. You can set whatever limits on that you want. (9 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Granted.. synthetic benchmarks are just that.. but in Geekbench 4 a Snapdragon 835 can outperform a Q9550.. which is definitely faster than the E6600. (9 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX My personal history of personal computing goes back to 8-bit computers. I think 2017 ARM CPUs are amazing. (9 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @droezelke: I said E6600.. and its single core performance in synthetic benchmarks is certainly comparable. But yes. You can go back to the 80s. I didn't say anything about them being modern. (9 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @GriftGFX: no, a snapdragon 835 does not have computing power of a Q6600 (9 years old). Do you really want to go further in time to prove your statement made sense? (9 Hours ago)
