Our videos of Batman Arkham VR

Our videos of Batman Arkham VR

Batman Arkham VR is probably one of the most anticipated titles of the PS VR launch this week. Putting on the Batsuit has never been more real in a video game, but it's never been that short either, as it only takes about 90 minutes to complete. That being said, beyond its limited gameplay mechanics and its short length, this is by far one of the most immersive VR experiences on PS VR. Some might think the price tag is a bit too much, but considering that 3D movies can sometimes be almost that expensive, but are also clearly less immersive, we believe it's worth your money if you're a fan. We now leave you with a few videos, though the best way for you to understand what to expect would be to try out the game yourself if you can.

On the plus side

+ Superb environments
+ Great atmosphere
+ PS Move controllers put to good use
+ Gameplay mechanics may be simple, but they're truly pleasant
+ Being the Bat!

On the downside

- Very short
- Not much replayability
- No vehicles to drive/pilot
- Basic gameplay mechanics
- Ending is a bit too abrupt, we would have loved to see more

Not bad VR game for start but would be much better with arms not just hands...and with better movement.
It was funny when you tried to hit the guy :D

Thanks for the video. What are the odds of you guys getting the new Star Wars Old republic: Knights of The Eternal Throne 6 minute trailer?

I knew it would be more a vr demo than a game.

Looks quite boring tbh.

Looks fun but the lack of means to move around really bothers me. Teleporting is not a solution. I wonder if I could handle the motion sickness if you could move with sticks like in normal games. Also yeah, just another paid demo instead of a full-price game - publishers don't want to risk by betting on a full-scale AAA VR game but at the same time the lack of some killer VR games is what stops many people from buying into it.

About the game

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @KORNdog: Still very different. More like Diablo but the "game feel" is not as polished. Systems are more well designed, but I have to give it to Diablo when it comes to fit and finish. (5 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @GriftGFX: like divinity? Better or worse? Might be one i dust off the xbox for. (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX The economy is unique and will probably seem strange to new players.. but every system is cleverly tied together in PoE. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX And yes.. the passive skill tree is pretty insane. It has a healthy mix of rigid decision making in its passive tree and flexibility in the active skill system. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Path of Exile is an endlessly playable action RPG and Pillars of Eternity is a turn-based single player game w/ a party system. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX No they are not.. they are both RPGs and they both have isometric cameras but that's where the similarities end. (6 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz I always confuse the PoE abbreviation with Pillars of Eternity. Are they even the same type of game? (6 Hours ago)
