GSY Video Xbox One

The multiplayer beta of Gears of War 4 will be available on Monday in early access to Gears of War Ultimate Edition players, but as it's already available to the press, here are some videos. Note that due to the lack of players at the moment, teams are mainly filled with bots. More videos in the coming days.
Update: Added a video showing the third map of the beta.

looks like the xbox 360 version .

At this phase the game look like an original xbox in higher resolution.

It does look better than Xbox 360 version. Map design looks good too. I hope they include remakes of some of the classic GOW maps like Gridlock and Jacinto. Hope campaign will be good as I enjoyed GOW 1 - 3 campaigns.

Holy moly. So there is the "low stream quality" excuse thrown right out the window now too. I wonder what the next excuse will be for it looking like this and no, "its actually an alpha and is a 1 year old version of the game" or "this is a real Beta, all other Beta's of games are fake Beta's" are automatically debunked for being moronic statements.

I guess everybody here was well founded in their reactions to the E3 footage last year.

This is really Xbox One? If someone tells me that this is from 360, I would believe it... At least, campaign looks far better.

It's a "beta" in a "pre-alpha" state, remember Halo 5 beta was capped to 720p and had less details than release.

There's no doubt effects and lighting are far from what we'll get in release, they want to test gameplay and servers.

If I were shown this footage back before the X1/PS4 were released, and were told that this is what we would be getting, more or less for the X1, I'd have laughed. I wouldn't have believed it. So much for this touted "tour de force" visually. Yes, I'm waiting for someone to politely (or otherwise) remind me that this is a beta, but in my experience of playing and seeing Beta versions all my life, not a hell of a lot changes. Just another example of why this gen is an absolute disappointment.

Yep. That is definitely Gears, great that the Coalition are demonstrating that as a new studio they understand what Gears is.

I was watching a few streams yesterday night and it is basically Gears 3 with adjustments to the formula here and there, just like Gears 3 did after 2, what I also enjoyed was the people playing it weren't nitpicking like they have goddamn reading comprehension but just enjoying the game they were playing which is always refreshing to see instead of a bunch of wah-wah and quibbling.

I cannot wait for Monday. The only thing about Gears I have enjoyed since Gears 3 excluding Gears: UE was Overrun in Judgement, now it's time for me to return to Gears.

Rod Ferguson did say this was pre alpha i believe? So i certainly hope that's the reason why a lot of visual things are missing here. Is this the price of 60fps? This is UE4, but i honestly don't see it.

I sure hope the campaign will look great. Man....Gears has always looked fantastic in both SP and MP. :(

not looking too good. it's a multiplayer beta though to be fair. the single player mode will be shown this E3 so i can't wait to see more of that.

this looks worse than Battlefield 4, which was a first gen launch title. Don't think the team behind this game is very talented

Did you guys have any problems with latency while capturing the video? I know the guy doing the capturing over at Digital Foundry ran into a few issues and was asking for tips on how to get better at the game. Or maybe he just plain sucks as it didn't seem like you had any problems with lining up shotgun kills.

I know a lot of people seem to think Gears is roll & shotgun wall bounce, roll & shotgun wall bounce, in truth, Gears' main pillars are positioning and spacing.

Too many montage heroes wanna do a million bounces before they pull the trigger, but there really is no shame in putting Lancer bullets into that person while he does, you'll get hate-mail for dishonouring the "Gears code", but battles in Gears are seldom won by playing to your enemies strengths.

Is it Monday yet? Damn. :(
