When Starbreeze announced they were working on a sort of reboot of Syndicate but that it was going to be a first person shooter, fans of Bullfrog's action/strategy game started to worry. In the end, aside from the cyberpunk universe, it is true that there is very little from the original game left here. All we have is basically a standard action game whose story is not even compelling. Thankfully, the shooting feels good and the DART system brings a few cool features like the possibility to make your enemies commit suicide. That being said, it is not quite sure it will be enough convince the players as it is a pretty generic shooter. The co-op mode is a nice addition though, so it really depends on what you're looking for in a game. Here are a bunch of videos of the campaign mode.
lol unshited as online competitive? don't make me laugh. (3 Hours ago)
I liked the first one. The cover system works okay in elimination deathmatch. I'm not a fan of sticky cover as a rule though. Especially now that many games have done contextual auto cover that works. (5 Hours ago)
I guess so? It's been a long time since I played one to be fair (5 Hours ago)
Yea.. that's what Gears of War is. (6 Hours ago)
also GOW looked interesting from some of the competitive matches I saw. But lots of weird sticky cover play (6 Hours ago)
just started playing the Forest today and sunk too much time with my buddy. WOOF that game is fun (7 Hours ago)
New enemy types, namely the Snatchers, Pouncers, and Carriers were aggressively unfun to fight. Still a good game, not a great game by any means. 7/10 (8 Hours ago)
