When Starbreeze announced they were working on a sort of reboot of Syndicate but that it was going to be a first person shooter, fans of Bullfrog's action/strategy game started to worry. In the end, aside from the cyberpunk universe, it is true that there is very little from the original game left here. All we have is basically a standard action game whose story is not even compelling. Thankfully, the shooting feels good and the DART system brings a few cool features like the possibility to make your enemies commit suicide. That being said, it is not quite sure it will be enough convince the players as it is a pretty generic shooter. The co-op mode is a nice addition though, so it really depends on what you're looking for in a game. Here are a bunch of videos of the campaign mode.
Watch out though, the centurion will make you toss your computer out the window. Borked af :P (3 Hours ago)
Still thousands of concurrent players though and plenty of viable matches. (3 Hours ago)
@Tiz: I haven't been playing it much but I am probably going to start digging into the new S2 content soon. The PC version is also still kicking but not with the massive numbers it launched with. (3 Hours ago)
Season 2 just started and the new characters are awesome. I haven't actually played them yet (launched in season pass) but they look great. (3 Hours ago)
