GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Ubisoft launched The Crew's PC beta this monday, thus we ofer you some gameplay videos in Detroit. More free roaming videos are coming soon.

Note: these videos were captured at 60 FPS using a modified config file, the final game will obviously offer options to limit framerate. As there is some bugs in the beta while forcing 60 FPS, and some frame drops while capturing, the next videos will mostly be in 30 FPS.

Can't quite put my finger on it, but it just looks... a bit shit.

It just doesn't gel, or look finished (beta, I know, I know), but at this stage you'd hope it would look like a "together" kind of product.

A bit gutted tbh. Was looking forward to it :(

I'm not really shocked, but I'm still hoping it comes together. TDU was awesome in concept but had pretty bad gameplay.

Gameplay is solid in The Crew, content too overall. Now don't expect a game that will blow your mind graphics wise.

All the TDU fans on the French side apparently love The Crew, there's actually a lot more than meets the eye. If you liked TDU, I don't see how you could not have fun with The Crew.

It was probably you considering a hardcore sim fan is happy with the physics on the French side. Now of course if you were in assist mode instead of sport or hardcore... It's no RBR though obviously. :)

i think its pretty fun. handling reminds me of old school arcade games. dont like how the jumps feel tho, reminds me of codemasters weirdness. txaa is also broken.

Just cant make my mind up about this tbh. Looks fun but im just thinking they may have been a bit too ambitious in scale. Oh and that overhead guidance bar just bugs the hell out of me everytime i see it. Why couldnt they have just used the same navigation system as every other open world racer?? If it aint broke dont fix it.

if you want to compare this to a F2P game look no further than NFSW, id prefer this over NFSW and the TDU reference has got me wanting the game so much more, please tell me is this more like the 'hardcore' mode from the first TDU, if the physics are like the second TDU then ill be a bit worried as TDU2's physics really disappointed me given how much fun hardcore mode was.

That's all I need. If they nailed some of the concepts from TDU with even slightly better car handling, I'd be intrigued.

To me it looks just like TDU2 with smoother objects, which is not bad. The graphics are good enough, I just think that for a PS4 game it would not be impossible to look like, say, Drive Club. The models are already done, just tweak the rendering engine and lights a bit.
Did you guys see any other Japanese cars besides Nissans in this game or is there still an information embargo on the car lits?

i loved the physics in the first TDU 'hardcore mode physics' Eden/Atari ruined the physics in TDU2, good to hear the team from the first TDU are working on this, should be epic (not the dev/studio Epic lol).
