Our videos of The Talos Principle

Our videos of The Talos Principle

The Talos Principle is the result of the combined effort of Croteam (Serious Sam) and two talented writers (Tom - The Swapper - Jubert and Jonas Kyratzes) and it is definitely worth a look. This new independent title is a First Person Puzzle game which is not only well crafted in terms of gameplay mechanics, but also particularly well written and very atmospheric. As it will be available later today, we thought you might want to see what the fuss is all about. Check out our 1080p/60fps videos if you don't trust our judgment that much. A public test of the game is also available on Steam if you want to see it for yourself. Console owners should also know that a PS4 version is in the making and should be available in early 2015.
Update: Two gameplay videos added along with the launch trailer and a few screenshots.

Playing this right now, and it's really cool! The puzzles are a lot of fun.

Didn't know this game had text adventure AI program bits!

My one problem with first person adventure games with narrators is they often start rambling about out-of-context truisms and other pointless stuff that isn't particularly memorable or the best part of those games (Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Dear Esther, Mind). Here though, the dad/parent figure has interesting things to say to flesh out the world or your goals and it's relatively short pretty much after an action you do rather than start speaking out of the blue. Then there are the audio diaries from Alexandra which gave me Gone Home vibes, and they're not intrusive either to the experience. It also helps that the game's sprint speed means it's not as laborious as those other games.

So far, this game is righting the wrongs of these kind of games.

Looks very challenging. Didn't even know this existed. Now I don't want to watch the rest of your videos due to potential spoilers. I'm going to check out the public test.

Great job!

It's getting pretty tough now in the second Egyptian world, although I'm almost done with it. Just give me more easy jammer levels cause those connectors are doing my head in :P

The anachronistic pop culture references are hilarious. Glittering emo vampires, autotuned teen popstars, and of course Jeff Goldblum.

I agree that a public test is a good idea for this game. The videos do not show enough variety in gameplay without seeming to be repetitive. Environments are well crafted and the visuals are stunning. I hope 'God' does shut up talking long enough to give the player a chance to enjoy it. Looks promising.
