Our Xbox One videos of Inside

With the release of Inside on Xbox One yesterday and PC next week, developer Playdead has undoubtedly proven the extent of their talent. As you will see in the following videos, the game is absolutely stunning, both in terms of atmosphere and art style. The animations are incredibly realistic, reminding us of what we felt back when the original Prince of Persia or other iconic titles as Another World and Flashback came out. Thankfully, the game does not just shine thanks to its presentation, the gameplay mechanics are solid and the types of puzzles and situations seem pretty varied so far. If you own an Xbox One or a PC and you're looking for a memorable experience, this is clearly a game to play this summer.

If you're asking when the game is coming on PC, it's next week, on July 7 if I'm not mistaken.

Just finished it and its awesome! Is it me or the puzzles were easier than limbo? I got stucked a couple of times in limbo but not once in this. Though i have to say i found the puzzles in inside more interesting.

Can't wait to play this (on PC). BTW, does anybody know is there any chance that this game comes out for PS4?

Games like this piece of ART are worthy of a GOTY award.

No source or facts (other than what I remember of other console exclusives) but these console exclusives are usually around 6 months.

Pure art! I'd buy it just for the aesthetics, but I know that Playdead knows their craft.

It's not been announced yet. Though I doubt it will remain an Xbox One/PC exclusive, it might be a while before it arrives on PS4.

The problem I have with this that I don't ever see mentioned is tension doesn't really work in a way you'd hope. It has a feeling of tension initially of course but then you realise always being dumped 5 meters away from where you die destroys that. Judging by the videos I'm guessing a priority for the devs was that you felt moments of intimidation- the dog chasing you in the water for example- but as an experience how can anyone feel truly like they're in any danger knowing you respawn anyway. I just feel for a game of this type, it absolutely doesn't work because of this. On one hand it's a fair system that works well for certain games and even this one being that it is a game after all, but clearly the design is such that the devs wanted a sense of fear etc and it doesn't allow for that. Unless you're a goldfish I guess. Maybe it just doesn't figure much in most gamers minds for it to be a problem to them

What you still have is likely an intriguing story and some neat puzzles which lots of people find appealing but I see it as something of a shame

I'm not trying to take a big shit on this by the way as clearly it appeals but it's odd this aspect is never mentioned
