Anything close to SWAT 4 (but on the other side of the law) mechanics, I'll take it!

I'd really love to see a serious third person heist game that's more like stealth & puzzle solving.

I mean, this is a neat, but it looks as if it would get boring fast.

I played the first game on a Steam free weekend and thought it was sorta surprisingly fun.

It's sorta a L4D-like-co-op thing but it's cops and robbers instead of zombies :D A little rough around the edges, but decent scenarios/co-op gameplay.

so..is it like L4D keep-running-till-the-safe house ?
'cos it gets boring sometimes !
I'm looking forward to a more mature game based on the Idea ... robbery is fun !
Commented on 2013-03-13 21:54:50
Not quite a mad dash for the safe house.. there are other objectives. Each scenario is a different heist.

well that should be interesting then !

Looks decent but like most FPS it's to manic!
Commented on 2013-03-14 09:09:07
Still the better scenario if you ask me. L4D was a crap game.

Overkill software was founded by ex-Grin developers, and they are using their own engine "DIESEL", which was also used in the previous title.

Diesel ..hmm .. interesting ..looks a lot like source doesn't it ? even the way they've designed the game looks just like L4D
I just watched Kostchtchie's videos ! couldn't get it why they kept comparing the games till now !

thanks !

would have liked to see player made heist maps, that you can share with the rest community, i think something like that would be cool

About the game

What's up?
  • Megido
Megido @GriftGFX: Doesn't that make DotA a team RTS with heroes? :P (8 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX That gamasutra articles doesn't mention either MNC or DirtyBomb though. So I think we can agree that people tend to overlook gaps in the genre's history. This shit did not kick off with Battleborn/OW. (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX OW and DirtyBomb are not MOBA-light games. They are team FPS games that have heroes. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX DirtyBomb did something that was at the time unique. You could not call it unique anymore. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @Tinks: I know you think that. But they're not really the same genre. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I could be wrong, but I think the first MNC really did just have classes and no overlapping roles. Think they added "pros" in the sequel. (6 Hours ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks some lean more moba, or more tower defense, or more shooter, but I think everything we're talking about is connected (6 Hours ago)
