About Gamersyde
Gamersyde is a commercial multiplatform web portal based in Europe, with hundreds of thousands of visitors each month from all over the world. We cover both handheld and video games platforms and the site has grown into one of the biggest gaming sites in the continent. We are able to offer fast news delivery and HD content from the upcoming games, and one of the greatest and friendliest gaming communities in the world. The HD content we provide always respects the original resolution and framerate of the games we capture, making Gamersyde the one and only place to get 1080p/4K/60fps videos with high bitrate. At a time when Youtube's subpar video compression has become the norm for most people on the Internet, we refuse to give up quality without a fight. We now also produce HDR videos, which can only be enjoyed by those who own compatible televisions. The content we produce is obviously not free of use should you want to upload our videos on your own website or YouTube channel.

Could you please give your impressions of the closed beta? And if you've played past Quake games, how does Champions compares to them?
Thanks in advance.

Miguel: Well, it's Quake.
You're welcome. :D
Okay... That's a great answer actually. It means it's as great as past games, gameplay wise. So that's a relief. Was afraid they had changed too much of the formula like they did with Doom's multiplayer, where they tried to imitate Halo or CoD.
Thanks, Grift.
PS. Btw, when will you guys do some Unreal Tournament's videos? I know it's far from completed, but it would be nice to generate some awareness.
There are no new weapons, and only one weapon missing from Q1-3, but it's a pretty major omission. There's no grenade launcher. That's an iconic Quake weapon. I feel like it needs to be in here and it's not. Some weapon tweaks are a bit controversial at the moment (the RL), but overall combat feels great. Movement, momentum, bunnyhopping, etc.. all feels good but it's important to remember that it's not Quake 3 Arena.
It's a fun if flawed game. It may be the only new free for all DM game that people actually play.
Well, I don't remember playing Quake before, not my kind of game nowadays, back in the days I played a lot of UT2k3 and UT2004, but mostly in InstaGib modes.
Nonetheless it was quite enjoyable, too bad I did not have enough time to play more this weekend, but I'll certainly try more when it's released.
I only played with two characters, Nyx and Ranger, I liked both even if Nyx has less health and armor, it was fun being able to get invisible (for a limited time) and get behind opponents to kill them.
NDA lifted when this article went online.
EDIT : found these impressions on Gaf : http://www.usgamer.net/articles/quake-champions-be...
Thanks for the info! While I'm not very interested in Multiplayer games, I asked because of other people who might be. This is a way to have the impressions of game by the people who played so others could see, and if it interests them, maybe they will try it.
