1080p, 60 fps, 4 player split screen, multiplayer with additional maps from Golden Eye for just 10 bucks. Still, I'll play the demo before I buy it.

coolest thing about this? 8player deathmatch via 4 on 4 split screen over live (just wish i had 4 friends )
worse thing about this? 10yr old AI

Got this on an N64 emulator at the mo, but I'm tempted to pick this up anyway - especially for the multiplayer.

The guy in the second image looks like Peter Molyneux.

That's because he is - I believe he volunteered for this release. 800MP for this - bargain if you ask me...

Banjo was cool, so was some old fighters, but if there is one genre that does NOT age well, it's the FPS genre. I might DL the demo just for old time's sake, but I have little doubt that this game is not going to be tempting to play when I could be playing bad company 2 instead.

I'd much rather see a Killer Instict on XBL than this. Some genres don't age poorly and some games are more timeless. PD was an amazing shooter for it's time, the best FPS on the market IMO when it came out. But the physics, gunplay, and AI have come so far since then this might really feel like mud.

Can't be worse than killzone 2 though ;-) sorry, couldn't resist...

Single campain might be old by today's ai standards--but still fun, but I personally believe that (next gen graphics aside), multiplayer is better for alot of reasons I won't fit in--even if it is a corriditor shooter. For $10, this update is worth it.

Agreed--if not all fps shooters wit all the content this games has--rivals that of today's modern fps w/ dlc.

I disagree, watching the comparisons vid and recently playin multi player on n64--it's aged quite well over the years (aside next gen visuals/ single campain A.I.). For $10, updated w/ online-- it's a good package and it shows just how much content games had back in the day apose to today standards w/ DLC on the rise.

About the game

What's up?
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Sometimes the less you know about a character too = more interesting. Like G-Man. He pops up now and again being a creepy bastard. Thats what makes him interesting. (27 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Plus the fact you were messing about with boxes is a good thing, no? Game first, story and characters second is my motto. (30 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @KORNdog: Come on Korn, you know thats a horseshit statement you made. Before Naughty Dog and Bioware with Mass Effect, there was Alyx Vance. She may be a bit dated these days, but back then... (31 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @MrWhite: i guess i missed it. i was too busy running about all over the place throwing boxes around as my mute husk. lol (45 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite What's this about Half Life not having decent characters? Seriously? It practically set the bar as far as that went. Alyx, Barney, Eli, G-Man to name a few. (49 minutes ago)
  • aphex187
aphex187 Micro machines for pc £16.59 noice (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I'm not saying it's impossible that another developer would want to do it and would do it justice. That's just rarely the case when a franchise changes hands. (3 Hours ago)
