Football/soccer fans must be very glad this week as it is now Konami's turn to try to please them with Pro Evolution Soccer 2012. This year's edition feels closer to the PS2 series which used to be the yardstick against which all football games were measured. AI has been improved to support the player but there are still some problems with the defense and the goal keepers. Also, the physics engine is a lot less impressive than Fifa's, which is still our favorite football game this year.

I did, but im not on my Pana Viera watching the vids but on a very cheap PC montior that makes everything look a bit blurry.

Edit: I would say it looks ALOT clearer. Would that be right?

I have not played the demo much, so I can't tell you for sure. :(

The only thing I can advise you to do is to compare with our videos of the demo.

That France v England demo looked atrocious. Whoever was playing it could definitely put potential buyers off!

Well, come and play for us then, I'd be more than happy not to spend so much time making videos for you guys. :p

Thank you so much! In my defense, it was my first try at the full game and I had been playing Fifa 12 for a while before. I still don't understand why the players would stop all of a sudden though I kept pressing the dash button.

Was it 360 version? There is a run bug in it that was present in the demo that they didnt bother fixing for the retail version. Shoddy from Konami.

No, the run bug made it into the retail version of the 360 game. What version are you playing?

Then sadly it's not you it's the game. They better patch it as really it's a game breaker.

There is a way round it, Turn console on, Turn Controller 1 on but dont have it signed into a profile, turn the 2nd pad on and sign into your profile with it. Run bug gone.

Thanks for the valuable comparison Gamersyde! I find it a shame PES still cannot fully keep up to FIFA. It would be very interesting, in my honest opinion, if they were equally competitive. I'll keep FIFA 10/11 for now I think.

I hope Konami will eventually get back to the roots and create a football game which is a lot better than FIFA. Just like it did back on the PS2. But unfortunately FIFA keeps broadening the gap between them. Or shall I say, PES is lagging behind even more than previous years. It is a shame really. I did not mind bad rosters or bad graphics but than you had that brilliant gameplay which made PES a winner by miles.
