While waiting hopefully for a direct feed version, here is the off-screen gameplay video of Horizon: Zero Dawn shown during the Sony media briefing.

This looks so damn impressive. And if shadow fall is anything to go by, that foliage pop-in will be all but gone come release. Seems to run a lot better here then the youtube vid they released too. Nice.

I hope they show some of the town areas from the reveal trailer and dialogue options at psx. Also i want to see the more advanced crafting system that they said in interviews.

A little worried about this game already, because the strategy looks pretty much the same as the E3 version, is this all what we can do in the game? It'll be boring if it is…

Pretty much the same from E3 TBH. I wonder if this will be pushed to 2017. It looks great but pop-ins is easily noticeable. I will take loading times instead of pop-in but they got time to polish it I am sure

It isn't only foliage pop-in. It's also shadows, textures, ...
It seems to me the lod's are really low. The beautiful graphics and art style are wasted because of it. It's extremely distractive to me.

i'm usually hyper sensitive to that, but i'm not seeing it on much besides the foliage. the witcher 3 was way worse then what i've seen of this by a long margin. but it sucks it's ruining it for you, because this is by far the best looking open world game i've seen. the atmospherics on the mist in the distance is beautiful. it's basically that small woodland area in shadow fall expanded 100 times over. as big of an uncharted fanboy as i am, this is what i'm most looking forward to next year. and we know it'll be late anyway so any issues will be worked on. it's a year away, it's not like it's out tomorrow. lol

Yeah, framerate is very weird in this game. But I guess, destructible env. has its price.

About the game

What's up?
  • alimokrane
alimokrane @Melmoth: Exactly and that's my point :) I convinced myself to play it even though its first person - for a game to do that for me, it's BIG! (8 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth @alimokrane: i used to read Edge reviews in the 90's and early 2000's because their opinions very often lined up with my own. Also, reading reviews is better than "reading" scores. (11 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth @alimokrane: for me it's worked well to find a site, or even better, a reviewer you often seem to agree with or have the same taste in games, and you hare some reference point. (13 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Having played other recent horror games, they probably just decided/realized it was a superior camera for the genre. (13 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker happy as hell because boy.....was 6 a mess. Even the good parts really weren't that good at all. Still though I am slightly sad about no third person. (15 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker I'm sure if Resi 7 had been exactly like 6 nobody would be happy. It seems Capcom now looked at modern horror games and also brought back some Resi stuff. If I was a fan of this franchise I would be (16 minutes ago)

asdfg @Sdarts: Agree, nice atmosphere and graphics looks solid. So nice to see a RE that doesn't look like a shitty action B movie. (23 minutes ago)
