Playsyde, day one!

Playsyde, day one!

It's been a long time since a playstation site like Xboxyde has been in project, so I'm very happy to finally unveil Playsyde. And what best to start than brand new footage of the latest Final Fantasy game?

Playsyde's main focus will be the Playstation 3, at least as soon as there is something to report about games. PS2 and PSP games wont all be mentioned here, only the major ones.

If you already knew Xboxyde then you won't be lost since both sites are identical except for the interface. The database is the same for all sites so you do not have to create your account again, just log in.

There are certainly a few bugs remaining, but the most important functions should all be working correctly. Let me know if you find something not working as expected.

nice work....i just wonder if that "world wide" release date will actually include Australia or if we just get left out again haha......the x360 is coming out in a week over here for the first time, i've got mine ordered and i'm most likely getting a ps3 as well unless it takes to long

WOW! Great work, blim! I'll add this site to my rss reader too.

I've got a small problem though. If you have unread private messages, the layout is a bit broken on Firefox 1.5.0.1. Don't know how to explain it exactly. There is one whole blank browser page displayed on top of the content area and you have to scroll down to see the actual content. Could be a css issue.

Hmmm, I did not test the private message on playsyde, so there is a big chance it's broken indeed.

Hello and congrats for the site! I asked for this some time ago so I'm glad you made it and just in time for the flood of PS3 info and HD vids that we'll be coming now that release date is set.
If you gives us as much media with PS3 on release as you did with Xbox360, I'll be checking the site every few hours on November :D

He answered this on XY:

My main reason for not doing a Revolution site is that doing a video of a rev game without showing how it's played with the controler is like losing 50% of what makes the game interesting (or not)
That, and the fact that I never owned a Nintendo system until the gamecube, so I do not see the appeal in most of the old nintendo characters, especially Mario, like someone who knew them for 10+ years.

This is so cool, I was just thinking the other day how much I wish there was a PS site like Xboxyde (which I also enjoy), and now there is.

Xboxyde was a site I visited all the time for 360 news before I got the system, and after I got it. I'm glad you decided to make a site devoted to Playstation news also since I'm looking forward to the PS3 as well.

Congrats again, BlimBlim, don't forget us after the PS people start coming...please.
I'm really glad you made this site because I was just looking through the PS forums and I thought to myself "this place is filled with idiocy" Every thread I went into made no sense, there did not seem to be one ounce of intelligence...so I'm glad to see you creating Playsyde for all the "other" types of people. :-D

Congrats Blim,
Mike

It was created for a True Fantasy Live Online fansite. Since the game won't ever be released that makes this avatar a unique one :)

Xboxyde's been my favorite Xbox site for media since X05 last year, taking teamxbox off my #1 favorite position! And ever since X05 you kept the same high-quality-lots-of-vids formula, which I totally love!

And now you bring your same high quality work to the PS area, WOW! I can only thank you a lot for that, BlimBlim and all staff! :D

I hope this place will be just as great as Xboxyde, as it's now on my bookmarks for everyday check as well!

Wish ya best of luck, and thank you!

alimokrane They semi-*ucked DMC as well but that one at least had decent gameplay (yes easier and different from the originals) but still decent gameplay. (41 minutes ago)

alimokrane @KORNdog: "nice visuals and a crap game" Sadly that's a trade mark of Ninja Theory. Nice motion capture, amazing facial expressions but always shit gameplay. weve sen it with heavenly sword, Enslaved (43 minutes ago)

AndreasZ94 @KORNdog: They have like 2 animators i think so maybe i had my expectations in check but aside from the boss i think the hit reactions look great. The graphics are so good because its UE4 engine ... (43 minutes ago)
