Codemaster sent us a preview build of Overlord a few days ago, and I finally found some time to give it a try this week-end. I have to admit that I was quite skeptical about this game, but after a few hours I must admit that I'm liking what I played. Of course this game is not going to stay in hour memory as a masterpiece, but its original gameplay, its very stylized graphics and its humour should make an interesting combination when the game is released in July. I'll let you discover this by yourself with this video, and I'll upload another one tomorrow if you guys are nice.
FF15 had the best launch month of any final fantasy game in the US!!! and this performance does not include digital sales!!! (39 minutes ago)
@Tiz: Most big games were larger than what a standard CD-ROM disc could store, so it wasn't unusual that pirated games were lacking audio tracks or movies. (1 Hour ago)
@Tiz: Sega used a proprietary GD-ROM format (about 1GB discs) for storage. It did not stop piracy though as you with a bootdisc could start cd-r copies without the need to hard mod the console. (1 Hour ago)
I think it was apparent to people.. even before the system launched.. that the early launch of the Dreamcast was risky. So I can see how EA might want to play hardball to sweeten the deal on said risk (4 Hours ago)
They also sold 2K and exited the console business... so maybe it wasn't all the best course of action after all :D (4 Hours ago)
That's what I meant lol. NFL, not NHL. (4 Hours ago)
it's pretty shitty to deny a system because of Visual Concepts though. They hadn't even produced anything yet and EA was a giant even then (4 Hours ago)
