Released today for the PlayStation 4 on the Japanese PSN store comes Prismatic Solid. This is a top down abstract vertical shooter from a Japanese indie developer called YO1 KOMORI and published by Playism.
Use 6 different types of weapons, then upgrade them 6 times by collecting crystals. Each time the player upgrades the weapons the formation of each weapon will change, use the correct formation to destroy on screen enemies. The music is composed by Shinji Hosoe and Ayako Saso who are responsible for Ridge Racer, Street Fighter EX2, Keyboardmania 3rd mix and many early 90's Namco arcade games.

Damn i just booted up my PS4 for the first time in weeks just to grab this but i hadnt read that it was Japan store :( Shinji Hosoe scored a game called Dragon Spirit back in 1987, i had it for PC Engine... was amazing soundtrack!! This has me interested so how do i get it on my UK PS4? Is it heading to Western marketplace?

GriftGFX EA is far from out of the woods, but I don't think this is the steep downhill incline you imagine for the industry. I'm not buying the doom and gloom. (12 Hours ago)

GriftGFX If they can develop revenue streams that don't negatively impact the user experience.. most will try. (12 Hours ago)

GriftGFX And while publishers may want to pursue service models, there are relatively good ways of handling that. Add to this the fact that most developers don't really want to ruin their games. (12 Hours ago)
