Prison Break is still on

Prison Break is still on

After a TV show of 4 seasons and more downs than ups in the end, nobody thought the video game adaptation of Prison Break was still in the works. Deep Silver came to ZootFly's rescue and took over Brash Entertainment to publish the game so expect it to be released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. It will obviously be a stealth game but, even if we still need to see more of it, we can't help but feel pessimistic, to say the least.

So there's no character similarities, and from the looks of it not very many actual event similarities.

Great.

I hope this is some pre alpha build because the game looks horrible.

Also PB game sounds like a really bad idea.

actually it sounds like a great idea, how well it's executed is what's in question.

There's been a few 'break out of prison' type games and a couple of them have succeeded immensely, though they weren't exactly focusing on the breaking out part, which is a niche this game could fill completely if done well.

I don't know, we'll see.
It is kinda strange about the lack of recognizable characters, except maybe that one guard... he looks like the fat guy that joined the pack in the show.
Whatever his name was.
Maybe it's just an a coincidence.

the prison break show was pretty good! hmmm.... i wonder how this game will turn out? *shakes the magic 8-ball* "Reply Hazy, Try Again" a game where u have u break out of prison, make your own shank, and dodge security as u try to get past the guards would make for some really great suspense. . .*shakes the magic 8-ball again* "Better Not Tell You Now"
one more shake, just in case.. . *last shake of the magic 8-ball*
.....

This game has you playing another character sent undercover to Fox River to find out why Michael Schofield robbed a bank, something along those lines and the screenshots don't show any of the characters from the series so how do you know there won't be any actual actor likenesses in the game?

From those screenshots, the game doesn't look too bad graphically; reminds me a little of Wanted: Weapons of Fate meets Splinter Cell for some reason. It's an intriguing concept that could work really well as a game but I'm not that hopeful that the game will be anything more than average. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

citizenx - you are some kind of smartass. From 4 screens you can see there are no character similarities or no actual event similarities? Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is from Deep Silver page - The protagonist of the "Prison Break" game is Company agent Tom Paxton. He is sent to the Fox River State Penitentiary to find out why Michael Scofield (the hero of the TV series), a man without a previous criminal record, became a bank robber. The storyline runs parallel to the first season of "Prison Break": Paxton encounters several characters from the series and experiences key events from his own perspective.

I think maybe he did it to get into the same prison as his brother who was falsely accused of murdering the vice president, who's not actually dead at all but is pretending to be Dr. Flox in a locked house somewhere, am I close?

Doom_Bringer Well the new Mass Effect 2 DLC is awesome, probably the best DLC I have ever played. It has some unforeseen revelations though...like going after Cerberus and the illusive man (8 Hours ago)

jackdoe @java4ever: Meh. I enjoyed the fact that Kratos faced his demons, conquered them, and then got vengeance. It felt very satisfying. Especially on hard mode. I wanted to rip my hair out at some points. (8 Hours ago)

java4ever 2 each each own i guess, to me it was utterly dissapoing even with the moronic kratos vanish. Made worse by listening to Jaffe's Personal Epic choice for the conclusion @ some GamesCom interview. (8 Hours ago)

jackdoe @java4ever: I have to disagree again. It ties up a bunch of wacky loose ends started by God of War 2 and did so in a very neat manner which was exciting and provided closure. (8 Hours ago)
