Project Sylpheed images

Square-Enix released these images of Project Sylpheed, looking as good as ever. Kind of giving some Lylat Wars-vibes, again.

Looks beautiful. I only hope it plays as well as it looks. I've been waiting on a good space combat sim to come on consoles, and that never happened on Xbox (at least that I'm aware of) so I'm glad this is coming to the 360.

Looks very impreesive.
Is this Squares first ever attempt at a shooter?

No, it takes place in the Silpheed universe - though it's not a sequel.

Nope, Sqaure is too good to make new games for 360. This is from Game Arts Square is just publishing it. It does like good though.

That game is not completly Square Enix, afaik they provide CG staff, music composer, maybe more.

Anyway, Squaresoft made a fantastic shmup on the Playstation, Einhander.

You're on the same wavelength as me. I've been waiting since Starlancer on the Dreamcast.

If I have to, I may just by a 360 form Japan, just so I can play Project Sylpheed. I think this will be a must play game..

I don't know, maybe I just don't see it but the screenshots don't look all that impressive to me, actually they look boring to be honest.
Hopefully they release some video of the game in action because the shots aren't doing the game justice thus far.

It looks interesting but the heads up display is really distracting.

The HUD is still to cluttered.. they need to space it out so we can see more of the action

Yeah good point it does look a little cluttered actually. I don't mind too much though cause my eyes'll be on that awesome universe ;)

Game Arts has the ability to do just that, game art. Only their fumbling bafoon for a publisher, also known as shallow-ports-r-us, can mess this up. Sorry, just because they've put out some of the best games in history doesnt give them the right to take 4 hours installing a PS2 port.

I wish I could find a copy of Einhander.

I loaned it to my nephew, and his younger brother trashed my copy of that rare gem of a shoot.....and they also killed my copy of Eirghez, too.....no more loans to them!!

oh man, i borrowed out my copy of Einhander to someone that lost it, too! that game was one of the best early 3d shootemups! that ps1 copy is hard to find, but they're up on ebay all the time still.
