All i can say is "meh." After seeing and playing vegas and borderlands this looks neither impressive nor inventive. It looks like a poor immitation of both with nothing to set it apart. Visually it hits so many bum notes, the lighting engine is about 5 years out of date, the textures look cartoony and bland, the weaponry looks uninspired and the "wasteland" itself has never been visually appealing to begin with.

Got some tomatoes in your eyes, pal? This is not your "meh" game, maybe "Mindjack" is? Or maybe even Superman 64. Think about it.
looks better then crysis imo. both technically and artistically. but it isnt as wow as it should be. doom 3 blew me away when that came out. this just looks a bit...unimpressive as a whole. has the same problem as crysis tho, in the sense it's in a completely uninspired location. we'll see. definately more intereted in this then i am crysis 2 gameplay wise tho.
Maybe i'm wrong, but isnt RAGE supposed to be an open world sandbox type of deal? If that is the case then i think this looks fairly impressive. Looks way better than GTA or any of the competition in the "genre".

it looks cool to me. i'd love to see more gameplay videos though...Does anyone seen the trailer for Dead Island on IGN? It looks impressive. If the game becomes 50% as good as the trailer it will be one of the best this year!
Are you guys blind. I wasn't going to watch the vid at first, but I needed to see for myself if the game looked as bad as some of you guys claimed. Not only did the visuals in that trailer look stunning, but the animation looked far better than most games. Don't say something looks bad just for the sake of saying it looks bad. That Tech5 engine may prove to be one of the best.
It looks okay. But for a game that needs to hit 60FPS, you expect lots of visual compromises. Doom 4 should showcase what this engine can do as it is targeting 30FPS.

Open world? I don't think that's the case. But it's definitely not carrying the wow factor it was when it was first revealed regardless.
