nice, I'll check it when I get back home.

btw 360Champ, why do nearly all your posts contain a link to an unrelated 360 game on Play Asia? It's not in your sig right... so why the need to post it.. is it an affiliate thing and you just want clicks? :p

I like the thing that they also say the things they can't do with motion capture. Some people just hype their upcoming games and say that they can do everything with their technology, but when you play the game it's not the way they said it to be.

Very nice video, the only thing i got hugely annoyed about was the guy that was talking, very annoying voice and he was talking as if he was explaining things to a 5 year old...

And i know it's supposed to be that way because he needs to explain stuff for people who don't know allot about this stuff but DAMN was he annoying :D

Who needs motion capture? Hand keyed animation all the way!

uh, okay. that way IS less real and more artistic.

I agree with FireWire. The guy talking started to annoy me.

When the guy was talking about how some stunts were impractical, that was bull. All they need is a bigger studio with a more robust set of props.

You know, for me, mo-cap sometimes seems a little off. When people act on the mo-cap set with the suits they sometimes move a little differently to when they would in RL with real clothing.

I think what they need to do is suit people up and then have them wear full contextual clothing, body armour etc.

It also helps for authenticity if they use actual marines or ex-marines for the motion capture of military types like the rainbow team. I don't know whether Ubisoft do or not. Theres only so far a good actor can go really.

still, i like these little developer diaries and behind the scenes thingys.

droezelke @Moonwalker: I know hdr makes a difference. However, is it worth 1000+ euro's? (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Yea that's sorta like turning up the "digital vibrance" setting in the Nvidia control panel. Without HDR we're just seeing more saturated colors. (6 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts If it was, that would be great as there would be no need to buy a HDR TV to watch HDR content as any SDR screen would be able to show HDR the same as HDR screens. I wish it was like that though. (8 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Mostly what you can see is a richer color palette due to a wider color gamut and bloom/brightness. Though it's not the same, unfortunately. (8 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts You can see it here in both the "Nano Cell" and "HDR" sections on this LG TV: [url] It's still not the same as watching in person. SDR screens can't show HDR. (8 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Moonwalker: Yes, you can see a difference, but only on colors and bloom. It's the same type of thing that TV manufacturers use to describe what HDR is with images. same. (8 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @droezelke: Trust me though, the phone camera photos are pretty representatitve of how they look here. (13 Hours ago)
