Using Just cause 2 engine, eh? Without doubt, this will be the best looking xbla/psn game.

I'm in, as long as cost 800pts ($10).

Reminds me of an old NES game called "Jackal"

Weird reasoning, the just cause engine was not that remarkable, imo...however this does look excellent and top down shooters are one of my fave old school gametypes. The quick flashes on the trailer were a bit annoying but I love the fact it will also feature rotorcraft.

This and the equally great looking Gatling Gears are at the top of my most wanted list.

Having just looked up Assault heroes on Youtube I can safely say that is an absurd assertion. This has what can only be described a vastly superior visuals unless you are suggesting that Assault heroes is the world's first and only game that is allowed to be a vehicle based top down shooter.

We don't know how well it plays of course but you are talking about a five year old game engine as opposed to a cutting edge one...not really "identical". Add to that the Assault Heroes titles were never released on PS3 and features multiple vehicle types instead of two types of dune buggy.

About the game

What's up?
  • Melmoth
Melmoth i'd like to see more ambitious VR support (for all platforms), but i can understand why no one (especially 3rd party) aren't gonna take that risk. (19 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth if i'm not mistaken gran turismo and ace combat will only have limited support for VR, as in a separate mode and not full support. Sony also did shut down guerrila cambridge, who worked on PSVR. (21 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog i would love a 5-6 hour platformer like the playroom VR game. someone needs to make it. (26 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog what sony need to focus on is good, cheap, shorter experiences. it suits the platform best and doesn't wear itself thin. plus sony have a chance to actually make money on the games. (27 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog it's in gran turismo sport, ace combat and they're making a FPS, they also have 2 studios specifically for VR. what they're making though is anyones guess. (32 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @droezelke: consider sony's expectations for it's lifetime sales are only 3/54 and it's pretty good going. it's outsold the competition (combined) by over double. (33 minutes ago)

droezelke This seems to me that big budget titles aren't likely in the near future. (41 minutes ago)
