Capcom shares 20 minutes of gameplay from Resident Evil 6's Leon campaign. The three playable campaign have different tone and the one with Leon favors atmopsheric and tense gameplay. Check it out inside to get a glimpse of the general mood.
going by Gamersyde E3 footage, the texture work isn't that bad, well they are pretty crappy at the same level as other TPS as The Last of Us, but the atention to detail so the rooms isn't that good and has that generic feel, is severly lacking.
Okay after these ... I'm curious .. I'll bite capcom :D lol

... I think a lot of the videos on the web for that game don't do it proper justice
It doesn't look too bad, does it? Not terrible, but again not entirely what you were hoping for when RE was announced for this gen a good few years back. It's the sum of this game which will make it or break it. This Leon section might not be enough to redeem the series.
It's obvious that there are a couple of things that have improved vastly in the series, even if the direction has not. The visuals are great as is the voice acting. Those kind of cut scenes were only possible via some nice quality CGI not so long ago, so the graphics aren't too shabby. Some nice volumetric lighting going on too and it all adds up to a very nice atmosphere, although again there are some hints of what could and should have been in that atmosphere. I got the sense that it will never really get the full realisation that it deserves, and there were some missed opportunities in there: I imagined zombies beating at windows outside as you stroll passed them, half expecting them to come crashing through; the feint moan of the zombie coming from somewhere in a room. Imagine knowing he's close, but not knowing where exactly. That sort of impending horror that's missing now in the series. Such a waste.
Ooh. I was gonna write this game off after E3, but that looks cool. I actually thought that bit at the end in the parking garage was tense, despite the faster pace. Blowing bits off the zombies is awesome too...

it does...you can only do so much with 500 mb ram. It should have been a PS4 game.
it's a troll comment because that's a console limitation and yet he chose one game to reflect a generations weakness and mind you a game by developers that have proven to infact be ahead of the curve.
Rental. Leons OK sections doesn't look like it is going to be enough to make you forget about chris's retarded, dude-bro lame sections. I hate what the RE series has become.
Leon looks a lot like Sawyer, hehe.
I'm really looking forward to this, still looks a little bit rough regarding the characters animation during gameplay, but otherwise seems to live up to my expectations (I loved RE5 in coop).

Same here. This is actually the first I have watched of the game, since I had pretty much written off the series after RE5. Is this section of the game an anomaly, or are they going back to the roots a bit here? I thought I read the game was supposed to be faster and more action-y. Granted it looks faster than the originals, but waaay better than RE5.
I'm digging the lighting, atmosphere, and real zombies as opposed to plant headed monsters that bubble into oblivion when you shoot them. This definitely got me interested!

From what i understand, 3 characters. 3 styles of play. Horror, action, melee.

I'm not American, but what the hell is that supposed to mean? Seems like a really stupid thing to say.
Not sure what he was referring to, but people like to blame things on America, so if your game series isn't the way you like it, just blame the Americans. It really is weak though, as most of the people I know (Americans) have no interest in this game. People who make those statements are no different than the jackasses who claim all black people are responsible for their problems.
This has actually surprised me in a good way, gameplay-wise. It seems to be swaying more towards the original formula of tight corridors etc. The graphics need quite a bit of work, some of those textures are laughable!
He's been just walking around with a coughing old man without shooting a single bullet. I'm not expecting RE to be a hardcore shooter but isn't that a bit too long?

The fun bit for me is exactly that, exploring around not knowing what might pop up from a window or a door and investigating every possible corner of the place. Obviously, in these videos the person playing hasnt done much of that, if any, at all. I prefer it this way with the occasional puzzle thrown in. Separating these quiet explorative segments with action-intense segments is the cherry on top! These two videos seem to be showing exactly that so I am a happy bunny, right now. They seriously need to work on the textures though and the dialogue made me cringe a couple of times...
