THQ's announced that a playable demo of Red Faction: Armageddon will be available on Xbox Live and PSN on May 3. The game is still set for release in North America on May 31, and on June 3 worldwide, for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
For the first time players will assume the role of Darius Mason and fight their way through Martian sewers and an oncoming alien infestation. Meanwhile, Darius must clear his name as the colonists have blamed him for unleashing the alien threat that has ravaged the underground cities of Mars.
Players will have at their disposal the Nano Forge as they combat alien invaders with concussive blasts and core-shattering tremblers. Rebuild all that you destroy with the Nano Forge’s incredible Reconstruction ability. Finally, throw entire buildings at your enemies with Red Faction’s signature weapon, the Magnet Gun.
To our PC players, unfortunately, we will not be providing a demo for that platform.
GTA suffers from this sort of thing too, with so called "ultra real" graphics mods that completely destroys the look of the game and turns everything into a hideous blown out mess. (49 minutes ago)
It's not perfect, but it's better than 99% of the shite UE4 recreations that people pump out and everyone creams their kecks over as if it should actually be made. (50 minutes ago)
I'll say one thing about it, at least he has an understanding of art style and lighting. (50 minutes ago)
@alimokrane: Tomb Raide 2 is almost 20 huge levels. I'd say that is a proof of concept, and not a remake. The dude/team would need to get a lot of traction to start doing work that could be done. (3 Hours ago)
