What's wrong with the ps3 version?

I've played the demo on the PS3 and other than what romeo said about dated gameplay (IMO as well), there wasn't much wrong with it?

Framerate and everything was OK.....I'm curious as well about what was so rough about it?

the same rough that was the ps3 version of The Darkness to the X360 one, maybe?

Yeah, 100% rental for me too. There is no way to pay full price for this.
Demo was crap btw. I hope the full version is better. :)

The PS3 version roughness is just technical / graphical faults probably. You could say the PS3 version of RE5 is rough too by that logic. 360 version of this looks very good though.

The gameplay does feel a little dated, but no moreso than RE5 or MGS4. The slightly old-school design doesn't bother me. I just hope the emphasis is more on stealth and less on action compared to the demo. Regardless, I'll be picking it up, as Butcher Bay alone is worth the price of admission.

I haven't played the demo yet but remember that in Butcher Bay there are all kinds of different gameplay so maybe the demo is just an action section?

You should definitely give it a shot, even if you do just rent it. It's not about the gameplay as much as it is about the interesting experience. It delivers a better story/experience than 90% of all other fps games IMO. Top notch AAA shooters like Gears 2 and Killzone 2 will provide much better action, but they can't touch Riddick for the style, character, and overall experience.

Wait, what's the "outdated" gameplay? Stealth in a FPS? Brutal melee combat, even better than Condemned? A FPS where you can shoot out every light is outdated?

the demo shows exactly what to expect . And that's a game with great storylines and nice ideas (drone play).Original butcher bay was that sort of game too . I will buy this game when it comes out or later but i will play it . Maybe not for everyone but hey...plenty of other great games out there
