Any game with creative custom content goes immediately on my "interesting" list. Also, i bloody loved the Flatout games.

Surprised to see custom content in a game like this. Hope it plays well. Looks like a cross between Burnout and Split Second.

this is far from the final code, it struggles to keep even a smooth 30 fps let alone the perfect arcade 60 fps.

I know the Playstation 1 and PS2 era Ridge Racers existed, I even got 100% complete on Ridge Racer 7, it was hard as hell beating Devil Crinale and Angelus but I beat them biaouches.
This Unbounded IS NOT Ridge Racer at all, I have played San Francisco Rush, Daytona USA, Sega Super GT, Outrun 2, I even played Flatout and that Burnout game.
Its like Bugbear trying to make a next gen racer with the Ridge name slapped on it put all of those racers but specially Flatout/Burnout in a blender and called it a game. Sorry its not a good idea, I'm sure the yung'uns who never knew the previous console gens will try it but will they actually enjoy it or know what Ridge Racer is really about? hell no, Ridge Racer was always about intense, top speed, nervous shaking, drinking monster/redbull to get extra alertness to not screw up the turns, this is just another next gen handheld fest, even Ridge 7 was guilty with that nitrous but thats really the Fast and the Furious movie's fault making people think that cars with already sufficient power needed more.

finally a ridge racer that doesnt feel like the same old shite. can't imgine it's going to be amazing or anything, but cant be worse then the last 3 or 4 RR games.

because i heard it isn't a RR game is precisely the reason i gave it a second look.

I haven't liked any of the RR games myself, always hated the bizarre handling.

JBear I take it you are actually going to buy this game, I will wait to read your impressions as well as reviews etc but seriously this is not Ridge Racer, just the name on it is all.
I wonder if some other game dev got the permision to take Halo and change the gameplay and framerate to Call of Duty and still call it Halo, would it still be Halo?

I've always WANTED to like Ridge Racer, but haven't really enjoyed a Ridge Racer since the 1st one on the PSX. Every other Ridge Racer has been a weird driving chore.

This Burnout/Split-Second clone looks hot! And since EA & Disney have Head-Up-Ass Syndrome, I'll take a rockin' clone.
