Rise of Nightmares: can you survive?

Sega has released a new Trailer for its First Person Survival Horror Rise of Nightmares. The title will be out later this year on kinect for xbox 360.

Please don't be another on-rails shooter :( Can't really tell if it is or not from that trailer, but the environments do look kinda open. If it is I wonder how they've got around the obvious movement problem

Terrible trailer!!! Poor graphics!!!! To me sounds like a poor mix between silent hill and saw using PS2 graphics. Another thing...i am not sure if they were trying to make me laugh or to make scared. Either way or another they failed.

This reminds me of House of the Dead. I really liked that game (still got in on DC), so I reckon I'll have fun with this.

It's not on rails. You put one foot forward to move forward, back etc. And you turn your shoulders to turn. Not on rails, not everything on Kinect has to be on rails.

yeah theres E3 video#s demoing it... you're placing yoru foot forward to move forward ect. It looks uncomfortable, awkward, and, like most kinect games, in no way an "easy" option over a controller.

Seriously developers need to get over the whole effort of placing the controller on your lap when you desire to use kinect. It's a shame microsofts been marketing it demonstrating its limitations rather than its possibilitys. I keep thinking about the mess that is the new Fable game, and how a first person fable using the pad to move around a true open world, yet using kinect to interact with those that populate it (ala Milo) would be something quite special

Sounds very, very awkward. Everything on Kinect is therefore either on rails or awful to control :P
