Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist exposes itself with a new trailer that tells us a little more about the history of the game. Update: 60fps trailer and three screens added.
Despite seeing how shit conviction looked, there was still an element of curisity, enough for me to play it at least. But this? This just looks plain bad. I have no desire to even watch this trailer, let alone play it.
How did that even happen? It's supposed to be Conviction's sequal, right? How can he look younger? And yeah, i'm also very very skeptical about this one, even though they promised the return of alot of beloved features that weren't in Conviction.
Well at least they ditched that stupid black and white stealth effect. Shame they lost Ironside though. Anyone know why he backed out or wasn't resigned?

Apparently because they wanted to mocap and vocap from one actor, ironside was too old to do the stuff fisher should be able to do. I'm sure they could have done them seperately and achieved perfectly good results though, hell, look at sully in uncharted.

And a shame too because after all that mocap the facial expressions are still below Naughty Dog PS2 standards of facial expressions. Its shameful for this to be a late 7th generation game.
Holy shit, because of mocap? Who made such idiotic decision? There are plenty of iconic voice actors who of course don't do (complete or any) mocap... Ironside is the boss of Fisher's voice.

I thought everyone knew.........that's not Sam, it's BAM Fisher, Sams long lost son! Notice they only call him "Fisher" in all the cinematics??? Eh???.........
Anyway, it looks pretty nice graphically, but I still can't get over the changes here. Sure they say you can play it like the old style SC, and then you see F-ing air strikes and all the autokill sequences. Your telling me that the game is difficult when you use airstrikes, pre-tag autokills, and other nonsense, but it is still playable without using them? I find that very hard to believe...Gonna need a demo to convince me before I would even consider wasting a rental on this one........
