After being released in early August on PSN, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is also available on XBLA since last week. Here is a 10 minute video that shows the second level of the game for once. Please note that the little green flashes you may see at the beginning of the video are glitches from the capture, not the game itself.
I have thought a lot about it and decided not to give you my detailed impressions on Scott Pilgrim. The main reason is that it clearly is not a game for me and I would not be objective enough, which is obviously something we do not want here. You will see in the video that the game is actually very challenging, even when playing on the medium difficulty setting with a level 7 character. True, I would not say I am giving it my best here, but I could not even get excited by the retro look of Ubisoft's title, though I usually love the pixels of my 2D old games. From what I have read though, it is definitely worth a shot when you like the genre and you can play with your friends at home (unfortunately there is no online co-op). So how about you make up your own opinion by downloading the demo now?
@Moonwalker: disappointing. I thought they'd have at least announced something, either a replacement for the loss lf crackdown, or something next new for 2018. (6 Hours ago)
exclusive, just timed. Jurassic Park building game announced, third party....no new exclusives or anything. (7 Hours ago)
@KORNdog: It wasn't a conference, it was basically like one of those daily E3 shows. Recore DE announced, free for Recore owners, Quantum Break gets 4K Patch, MS publishing PUBG but it's not (7 Hours ago)
Anything good announced? New games for instance? (7 Hours ago)
@HR2: wait. That happened? Man, i didn't even realise ot was gamescom yet, let alone their conference. Lol (8 Hours ago)
That Project Scorpio Xbox One X edition is out of stock at Amazon Germany and USA, and look on Ebay....disgusting. (8 Hours ago)
Microsoft's Gamescom show sure was a snooze fest. somebody needs to remind them what the word "premier" means. they re-used E3 trailers for EVERY game. I felt offended as a viewer, not even as a gamer (9 Hours ago)
