After being released in early August on PSN, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is also available on XBLA since last week. Here is a 10 minute video that shows the second level of the game for once. Please note that the little green flashes you may see at the beginning of the video are glitches from the capture, not the game itself.
I have thought a lot about it and decided not to give you my detailed impressions on Scott Pilgrim. The main reason is that it clearly is not a game for me and I would not be objective enough, which is obviously something we do not want here. You will see in the video that the game is actually very challenging, even when playing on the medium difficulty setting with a level 7 character. True, I would not say I am giving it my best here, but I could not even get excited by the retro look of Ubisoft's title, though I usually love the pixels of my 2D old games. From what I have read though, it is definitely worth a shot when you like the genre and you can play with your friends at home (unfortunately there is no online co-op). So how about you make up your own opinion by downloading the demo now?
That's actually funny. Zapkowski said that the games aren't canon in his view, but i guess CDPR decieds what's canon and not if they own the IP. Hahaha. (8 minutes ago)
made, he wouldn't get a penny. Nor have artistic rights to how they should or should not be used. It was a really, really bad deal for him. (9 minutes ago)
@Megido: That's true as well. He obviously did a bad job with selling. Also, if I'm not mistaken, CD Projekt RED has the full rights to The Witcher IP, meaning that if any movies or TV show is ever (10 minutes ago)
Also, he wouldn't be whining if he didn't sell his friggin IP instead of taking a cut. (14 minutes ago)
@Sdarts: He wrote the first witcher stories in the 80s mang, and the main witcher saga in the 90's. Before the games nobody knew, now The Witcher is a huge global thing. I think it was a win for him. (16 minutes ago)
For those who want action and great fights, I really recommend "Int the Badlands" on AMC. The fights' coreography are amazing and the story is good enough to keep the action going. (50 minutes ago)
