Screenshots of Table Tennis

Here comes a bunch of Table Tennis screenshots (thank's to our pals at Factornews !). Rockstar's game was one of this E3's big success, so don't forget to check-it out ! Hepefully, we'll get a XBLMP demo soon...

Never really heard much about this in all the E3 commentary/movies/blogs/etc so I'm surprised you'd say "one of this E3's big success".

I'm sure the game will interest some people but the fact that so little about the game was mentioned leads me to believe the "success" was far a few between.

The only way this game would be good is if it was on Wii

He was talking in refrence to the Wii controller, which i would imagine would be very fun to play ping pong with. Has to be a must for Rockstar to put this on the Wii seeing as many countries in the East such as Korea have big followings behind professional Table Tennis.

after hearing about peoples experiences with the revmote and that tennis game i disagree, timing of swings was virtually impossible

re: screenshot lots of self shadowing going on looking good

and although it may be fun for awhile
table tennis is a fast sport.
your arm would get very tired after playing for a couple minutes

yeh the main problem seems to be that you have to keep the revmote at a certain height or it loses sensor range really easily, which means it will be even more tiring

If this turns out anything like the original Virtua Tennis for Dreamcast, this could be amazing!

I played it at E3 and thought it was fun. I dragged my wife to play the other side since the demo I saw was 2-player. It seemed like you could configure other options, but I didn't try to see if you could play the CPU. It was simple (duh... table tennis), but I thought it looked pretty good. I think the real value will depend on whether or not there is a career/story mode and some sort of mini-games. After playing Virtua Tennis on the PSP though I'm a bit spoiled.

Insane graphics + fast paced action (ball hitting), this game looks like it will dominate top spin 2 as long as it has a variety of techniques. These guys should try making a tennis game.

It would really help the realism in the characters if they used some sub-surface scattering.

I did play this at E3 and it reminded me of Virtua Tennis....so that's an instant must buy. The only thing is there is no career mode. And the story mode is kinda thin. And it has no mini games so XBOX Live is where it's at.
