No tesselation? Really?
Do you realize how few games use tessellation? It'd be more surprising if this console port had tessellation. Plus, tessellation performance thus far has been pretty awful.

Auto Pad, Mouse and Keyboard Switching
Good. Everything should do this.

Some of the animations could really use some work, the running looks quite stale. The visuals at least look okay, and the effort put in the PC port seems better than I expected.

Now this Ubi could learn from.

Doesn't look bad. If there is a game remains to be seen.

Is tesselation really that noticeable in today's games? I've played a couple of games sporting it like Crysis 2 and Deus Ex and I couldn't really tell the difference if not for some comparison screen shots on the net. If the implementation was like something similar to the Heaven benchmark then I would be having that setting enabled.

I totally respect developers that take advantage of PC hardware and do not just do console ports. Unlike some people that buy expensive hardware then pirate games its like shooting themselves in the foot. I will be purchasing this one if it gets decent reviews =)

Greenmangaming.com has a 25% voucher for this game (and others) if you check the blog link at the top of the page (expires on the 10th). I decided to roll the dice on this one. Hope it's decent.

What's up?
  • Megido
Megido But then i dont think characters has ever been the strong suite of bioware. Usually only the monsters and aliens look good, haha :P (26 minutes ago)
  • Megido
Megido @digi_matrix: yeah, no amount of subsurface scattering will make that look good :P (28 minutes ago)
  • digi_matrix
digi_matrix @Megido: The characters do indeed look really horrible sometimes e.g. [url] (46 minutes ago)
  • Megido
Megido Environments look nice though (57 minutes ago)
  • Megido
Megido @Sdarts: maybe its just the aesthetics, but the characters look awful imo. Especially the hair looks like some UE3 grade garbage. (58 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Megido: DA:I is as great looking as BF4, if not more as it runs on, basically, a Frostbite 3.5 engine. So if you honestly believe BF4 looks mediocre, then good luck with those insane standards. (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker Totally not in the mood for a game like DAI then, plus i am gonna be spending some time creating my character, damn. (1 Hour ago)
