Page 1 2 >>Will i get it? no, dont like Spidey.
That's Black Cat? Looks like just a sexy lab nerd look, even Catwoman in TDKR looks more like a cat than this.
Also the movement looks cool, but it seems pretty low to the ground compared to the old great Spiderman games.
How much control you have and how dominant QTE's are will make or break this.

Did the old games do that to you?
Well Spider-Man games mastered wed swinging back with Spider-Man 2. I'm just hoping they can package actual fun/interesting things besides that.
It looks like it's a bit of a swing and a miss in that regard already tho. They've gone back to webs that attatch to the sky...pretty lame.
Oh look...another spiderman game...to go with another spiderman movie. If at first you dont succeed? Make an other mediocre attempt at it and rake in millions from the fanboys.
wanna cheap way to make your game look good? add motion blur :) :| killzone is guilty of this
you mean replicate reality? damn right it makes your game look better. wave your hand in front of your face...see that? blured motion...shocking i know.
Thank God for LoveFilm <3 I wouldn't buy this but I will very much enjoy renting it.
You must have shitty eyes then cause this aint nothing like real life bro.
while web swinging from an imaginary ceiling and flying through light poles.

Spider-Man free roams in Manhattan...while web swinging from an imaginary ceiling and flying through light poles.
Now you just "hold" R2 and spidey flies around on imaginary ceilings and then pause the game and select a waypoint for where you want to land? Half the time it just looks like you are flying and flailing around all nimbly bimbly rather than actually swinging. Not really seeing anything redeeming about this one...
I think it looks pretty damn good, but then again i live in reality.Gamers nowadays need to realize that they will never have a game that does everything perfectly.Take it for what it is....Spiderman!You dont like what u see, dont play it.Do gamers even like games anymore? All i ever read on any site about any game are the negatives, maybe that is a sign. The world seems hateful from all sides these days.....
Spiderman 2 came out 8 years ago, and since then we have had around a dozen games for all different devices, the latest and greatest of which has improved by making prettier graphics and..............simplified controls? Personally I don't think making things simpler and less skill driven=better. 8 years ago web swinging was actually physics based and dependent on where you were and momentum. You had to plan your movements and watch where you went because you could actually fail.
Now, like most games, developers just want to make you look cool and feel unbeatable, so you just hold down a button and watch Spidey magically fly around. Want to land on something? Don't bother thinking or judging it, just pause the game and select a landing point. Maybe some people are becoming jaded, but perhaps that is more a symptom of the majority of games lacking any real innovation, rather than some social ill.
That doesn't mean every game with a sequel is going to get ridiculed though. Look at series like the Elder Scrolls or GTA. Each game doesn't really do that much differently from its predecessor, but because Bethesda and Rockstar put so much time and care into making their games, they are almost always met with universal praise.
To sum it up, I think there definitely is more negativity than ever, but there is so much milking of franchises (sequelitis) and stagnation, that I can't really condemn people for voicing their frustration, myself included. I think if you look at certain titles, I think you will see the kind of positivity and optimism that gaming should instill, if only the developers would make the effort. I do agree that people need to keep a more open mind though, and that is something we could all work on....
