Developer Diary PC Xbox 360 PS3

Now that almost every games of 2009 have been released, the developers of Split/Second are finally waking up with this first developer diary presenting the Power Plays, the system that allows the player to make everything around him explode and other nice stuff.

Yea, count me in! I love the racing genre and whenever a new racing title comes out I naturally wanna get it, simply because it means more racing. But soon after, I realize it's just that—more racing.

It's games like SPLIT SECOND that remind me of why I fell in love with racing games in the 1st place (no pun). The sheer thrill and unpredictability of this game, to me, makes it rise above a lot of the other racing titles out there. And this is even without a demo!

Wow, explosions and post processing are incredible! I just hope said explosions aren't too canned. This is more appealing to me than Blur, and I'm a huge PGR fan...

This game looks just plain silly to me. Looks like it will be another Full Auto or Flatout type game, fun for an hour or two and then just boring. But I'll admit the whole car combat thing never really did much for me anyhow. I always hated Twisted Metal games so it might just not be my genre.

I just don't see anything here that looks like it's gonna take the whole car combat concept to a new level or anything. I just think regular racing is far more fun and rewarding than shooting or blowing your way up to first place. meh...

Split Second over Blur for sure.

Watching this game in action it's just so cool, how explosive and dynamic races can get in this game.

i'd be surprised if it was tbh, most racing games this gen arnt....including the developers last game, PURE

well the game looks cool, no question. But it looks also like that your only chance of winning a race is just pure luck.

Imagine playing this game online.....
