Superstars V8 Next Challenge trailer

Superstars V8 Next Challenge trailer

While we are still waiting for a release date for Sony's big racing machine, Milestone is preparing a sequel to Superstars V8 Racing, a game that was released in June 2009 in Europe. Entitled Superstars V8 Next Challenge, this sequel will feature 16 players online races, a full damage system and changing weather conditions. The game obviously does not shoot for the stars but it could be a lot of fun to play provided the physics engine offers good driving sensations. Graphics-wise at least, the game seems pretty solid, which is a good start.

16 players online sounds good. Also the dry, wet areas in track is cool. Graphics in this are ok nothing special :P

May be EA will come again with new burnout or nfs again ? But I am still waiting for F1 2010 and of course GT5 :D

it's probably going to be shit, but the wet track effect look pretty damn nice.

I trhink this could be the right game for me.

If this is going to be a simulation it could be great, finaly there will be a console racing game with good weather effects, with a idea line that's drying, some of PC games already have this since 90s.

I have the first game - it's actually quite decent

That, PD and T10, is how you do proper damage simulation.

The last few seconds of the streamed video make some really wierd sounds.

On another note, the game doesn't look too bad. I like the water reflections on the wet pavement.

But that's about as far as it goes; it'll be hard for them to fit in with the two big contenders, F3; GT5.

You can do alot more graphically when a game runs at 30fps instead of 60fps, I'll keep an eye out for this game

hmm this brings me back memories of toca 1, if their is a mode where we race in a season with a league table (bit like fifa's manager mode's seasons) then I'll be one happy chap. Plus that some awsome looking wet track effects.

Considering how everything else looks in those screens, I think PD and Turn 10 have their priorities a little better sorted... :-P

See PD, forget Turn10 and everyother dev.

I've played your latest version and it is awesome.

Racing has never been so good.

Guys wait till you play it, Damage,a.i,speed,60fps, Trees are sweet. and it looks unreal.

Another game like Ferrari Challenge.

Ferrari Challenge is a lot more polished driving-wise.

I was referring only to visuals.

When it's dry, Ferrari Challenge looks not to good (and I will never understand why asphalt is... brown on all tracks when it's dry). But when it's raining the game can look really good (and asphalt has normal grey colors). For me rain effects are really good in this game, especially when watching closely how water is splahing on the road (on other hand the rain is splashing only on car windows, rest of car is completly dry but nevermind). Maybe there will be similiar situation with V8 Next Challenge. For me only thing that was really nice in this trailer was wet road after rain.

I checked in the past only first V8 game demo (on my friend X360) for few minutes. And yes, You're right about driving (that's why I never bought V8 on PS3 after checking it and still have Ferrari Challenge).

droezelke Apparently it's called 'simulation sickness'. Well, I have it. And now after half an hour I can still feel it a little. I'm sad VR won't be for me :-( (29 minutes ago)

droezelke I don't know if any of you have this problem with VR? Secondly, it's impressive, but the screen resolution is way too low. I could hardly read text (36 minutes ago)

droezelke Just tried the PSVR in a game store. I'm sad to say that I get motion sickness as soon as there is motion ingame. Tried a couple of games, and same thing (37 minutes ago)
