Probably some of the best humour I've seen in a video game.

Looking forward to this a lot, but I never managed to sit all the way through the fourth game.. Trying to get that done before Tuesday :)

would really prefer a 2D MI instead of this crappy 3D stuff :/

Never played any of the previous classics, despite everyone saying how good they are/were. But as with others the cartoony 3d animation needs some getting used to, I prefer the detailed 2d drawings older point'n'clicks have used, but blah what can you do?

Much like Sam&Max, which I really wanted to play when I first heard about new games being released, I wonder if I will actually hold to my promise and play it...

The Telltale Sam & Max games are brilliant, you should definitely get round to playing them. They're the reason I have such high hopes for this, Telltale really understand the old point and click genre.

They're 3D yes, but they still play exactly like the old 2D ones, not like MI4.

Face it they would not have sold half as many copies as they will with this version, they have to cover production costs after all, there not making it on 100% tea and biscuits.

Looks terrific... loved the first two games on the Amiga. With this and a redux of Secret of Monkey Island coming to the PC, I couldn't be happier. I'm really looking forward to playing both games.

It says it's for XBOX right under "About the game".... and MI... made me think of Mii, they could probably be included pretty interestingly as cameos in a game like this.

I kinda like the transition to 3D. Only problem i find is characters are very low-poly, a bit more round surfaces would have been a lot better.

Anyway, if it plays well i'm in.

I suppose you´re right. But imo 3D graphics are sometimes totally overrated. There are games that look great in 2D and in a point and click game I find it almost compulsory :P

What's up?
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer oh yea that, Dragon Age was preloading at the time (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Maybe.. it's different for pre-loaded stuff too. (2 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: well Dragon age extracted is suppose to be arround 20 gigs but the download was only 8 gigs or 15 gigs...procedure might be different for newer games (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 45 minutes for this game would have to be like... 3+ megabytes per second. My Comcast can't do that. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX My FFOW DL is almost 12.9 gigs and like 95% done. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Steam appears to download extracted and installed, there's no install process once you finish downloading a game. (3 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer D2D file right now is 9.2 GB's. I think it was less when I was downloading it (now its extracted) I am pretty sure Steam works the same way. 12 gb is probably the extracted size :P (3 Hours ago)
