Xbox 360 PS3

Irish Star Cave Studios has officially announced Terra: Formations, planned for a release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The game has been quite a buzz during the latest conventions, and as the developers still are looking for a publisher there is no release date set. Terra is a MMOFPSRTSRPG - yeah, all that stuff in one game. The story is set in 2157, and as a player you have to choice to either run on the battlefield (FPS) and expand your stats (RPG) or be the commander (RTS) to rule the field. First image inside, and remember - as the studio opened in summer 2004, they probably are in early development.

Update #2: Release date announced: Autumn 2007.

The studio opened in summer 2004, so the game has probably not been in development that long.

I know that that word "MMOFPSRTSRPG" will be the norm like how MMORPG is.

Looks like the video is from the PC version... player is using mouse and the video has been captured with fraps. Ofcourse it's not 100% sure but very probable.

No, sorry. I've been reading alot about it today, and a 2006 release seems very unlikely. They'll be showing this during the upcoming GDC, but without a publisher, they probably will wait with announcing a release date. During the first year, they were only 12 people working on this project, so I guess they need some assistance from the publisher in the future.

Yeah, I wonder if they even have it running on a Xbox 360 devkit. Time will tell, for now it's "PC & next-generation consoles".

Well, the enemies look good already, and with all that variety the game plans on having, it will be hard to beat.

THAT'S why it looked like Tribes 2; it's using the Torque engine! Damn they are SERIOUSLY stretching the capabilities of this engine to the max. If they can pull off this gameplay, I don't care how it looks, it'll be sweet.

sounds like an cool game to me, i have wanted a fps rts since i first played starcraft, making it an mmorpg too is just icing on the cake,

They are using the Torque Shader Engine, that's Torque Engine 2.0. Some info about it here:
