The desert shot with the spotlight is amazing.

It suffers from PC textures though.

I agree slabs, the mountains are a disgrace in that pic, but luckily, I will never be looking at them. Game looks fantastic

looks the same to me, and the xbox360 ground graphics look better there as well... I'm not starting a fight or anything, I just think the textures both look the same to me.

AWESOME VIDEO! thanks for it and the screens own.

Excellent video - and one of the launch titles I definately one to get hold of, being a *big* fan of the PC versions.

There is mention that this has been developed with "multicore" in mind; both PC & 360 version. This should certainly translate as the first true "next-gen" game that is able to out perform its PC counterpart. I am sure we are not going to hear any comments about this running less than 60fps.. it would have dire consequences on the true performance of the 360 if that was the case.

That multiplayer shot is interusting. It has been set up so you can see all four players, and make out who's who by looking at thier lines of sight. Can you guys spot the fourth guy? It's like Where's Waldo!

Before being a multicore 360 game, CoD2 is port from a PC based engine, upgraded version of Call of Duty 1's. Keep that in mind.

I'm sorry, the reeonciding took over an hour yesterday, and I had to go to bed. Snoopers put up the 720p-version though, nice work!

Why is it that some people think that next gen = higher frame rates? I just don't see it happening(even on the POS3), especially if developers try to push the graphics/physics capabilities. I also don't see many games going over 30fps unless it is a game that requires a good sense of speed(racing games mainly) as a guy walking or running really doesn't need to convey that(unless they run as fast as a car).

Obviously you do not play FPS games on the PC; and if you did you would realise that you harp for the golden 60fps to provide you with the best possible gaming experience. It makes a difference in-game (multiplay) if someone has 60+ to your -30; it's the movement and more importantly the turning; and visually a comparision of the two games running proves that it makes a difference.

There was a comment made earlier regarding CoD2 being a "port" from CoD1. That is not neccessarily the case as "mutlicore" was a design factor in the game from the off in version 2; even if code was ported over. We should be seeing big things from CoD2 and direct comparisions with the PC version should *prove* this..

I play many PC FPS and you dont need 60fps in all of them. Games like Unreal, Quake, maybe even CS you benefit more from 60+ fps. Just your online twitch shooters really, but I can still play even those fine with 30+. Of course all games look better at 60fps, but if a developer chooses 30 for a reason I dont see it being a prob I played hundreds of games this gen that were 30fps.

Infinity Ward has already confirmed CoD2 will run at 60fps on 360 tho.
