TGS05: Ninety Nine Nights cutscene

TGS05: Ninety Nine Nights cutscene

The TGS is not over yet at Xboxyde ! Here is a video of the ending of the Ninety Nine Nights demo, quickly commented in english by the great Tetsuya Mizuguchi himself. The sound is not perfectly in sync with the image in this video, so don't worry about the strange lip sync.

That was totally insane and absolutely the best footage I've ever seen running on an Xbox 360.
Sure, PGR3 looks cool as hell, but that armor and stuff in this vid was awesome.

... still won't preorder it though. Kingdom Under Fire wasn't that good, but I'm giving it another chance later tonight.

Yes, this is the realtime cutscene at the end of the level that was being demo'd at TGS.

Blim, could you please make a low-res version of this video?

They still have some clipping issues, but those are some GREAT looking realtime models! Wonder if Blim will post what happened before the cutscene....gameplay perhaps?

See, this is why they should emphasise some japanese game instead of normal-mapped-to-hell american shooters. They just LOOK BETTER, even if they're less technically advanced. It's a matter of art direction really.

Well, the gameplay is mostly the same thing as during the press conference.

About the game

What's up?
  • MrWhite
MrWhite that's a pretty big deal, as its probably the biggest stumbling block for the tech. (42 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Stuff like inside out tracking and eye tracking, as well as motion sickness solutions should be in place. We've already got a product in development that claims to have eradicated that already (42 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite The potential of it is massive. More so than what traditional gaming now is. Second gen is going to be very interesting. (43 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite We're sort of being spoon fed bit sized "experiences" that either work or don't. I suppose that's part of the freshness of it, though. I just wish some big devs would get more involved. (45 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @KORNdog: Ironically, though, the VR scene is also playing it safe. Too safe. There's not enough big risk titles like RE7. (46 minutes ago)

GriftGFX I can't really wrap my head around being dismissive of indie games. That's a pretty broad label. (3 Hours ago)

nostradamus put and end to corridor/cinematic/c utscene/qte/playforyousoyouwon'tmissathi ousoyouwon'tmissathing ng experiences, and start to see more games like Prey/BotW and the sort. Nuts&Bolts is an awesome game, as well. We need N&B2 (5 Hours ago)
