TGS07: Images of Viva Piñata: Party...

It's party time with Viva Piñata: Party Animals, a spin-off of the strategy game created by Rareware. This entry targets younger gamers with minigames similar to what is offered in Mario Party. The players can choose either Fergy Fudgehog, Paulie Pretztail, Franklin Fizzlybear or Hudson Horstachio as their character.

This is just what a party-game needs. Fuzzy, cute looking animals instead of those horrid characters in Fuzion Frenzy. Just hope the games are fun too.

is this really out in two weeks? (it says so on gameplay.co.uk) it seems we have heard nothing about it....I really want to get it, but really its not going to get played if it comes out two days after halo, same can be said for sega rally.

Is this a XBLA game or a normal retail game. Judging from the screens and only 4 playable characters i would think that it's an arcade game...

Yes!, that's what I'm missing on the 360. Loved the old Mario Partys on the N64. Any word on the game mechanics?

About the game

GriftGFX If only it had the same quality live action video :D (3 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @GriftGFX: Oh that's crystal clear. I do wonder if it means it will stay first person from here on out. It probably will so it will work for VR. (3 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @GriftGFX: Maybe in the way it brings back suspense and the locations? (4 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @Moonwalker: It's definitely influenced by this generation of horror games: Outlast, Alien, Amnesia, etc. Not that there's anything wrong with that. (4 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker At least it's not a Outlast clone which at first glance it sure seemed like it. (6 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker I just watched ACGs review and he said only the monsters are just standard, nothing special, but the humans are. Kinda wish this had zombies. (7 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX The game looks *nothing* like Resident Evil 1. I'm not bashing the game, but give me a break. (8 minutes ago)
