Ubisoft released a few new images and artworks of Assassin's Creed 2 for the TGS, including what I think is the first screenshot of Rome. Update: Added the TGS trailer, showing some of the hero's beackstory and many different gameplay sequences.
Graphically there were 3 annoying things in the first AC: Framerate issues/tearing, low res to hig res mapping pop ups, and distance pedestrians shadows. Fix that and Im sold.
Interesting, you can now order others to take down bodyguards while you take down your main assignment? That's more than just providing crowd cover from AC1..
Finally Ubisoft you are understanding, great trailer great choice of music (finally), hyped me :P
Ezio is truly awesome with hand to hand combat, really awesome.
That black outfit is great, that is suppose to be the Master Assassin outfit you get later on in the game.
Arent the levels looking quite empty now though ??? Watch the trailer again and when he's on the rooftops. The ground looks very empty. Clearly, the game isnt the best looking around anymore either. Music is fantastic and the trailer does hype it all up but it aint working on me this time until I see a couple of trusted reviews, otherwise, will wait for its price to drop before I buy.
looks nice, but that new black Outfit is just gross... don't misunderstand me, it looks cool of course, but it wouldn't work at all in combat situations like the ones in this game, same as climbing etc. Since AC is a game which is set in a "semirealistic" environment (or almost realistic) I just cant understand this choice of fantasy design... Anyway, since its one of the rare medieval and more realistic games, and since I am a reenactor and swordfighter myself, this is a must buy for me (and for the swordcombat, most of it is described in the "thalhofer" books about longsword fighting, and they used that in the first game *lovely*)
pc version got pushed back. :(
i can wait though, they said they want to do a proper port of the game and needed more time, it's not like i wouldn't be having anything to play till then.
BTW, that trailer was pretty awesome. looking very promising. ;)
