Let's continue with another beat'em all that many players are eargerly waiting for: Darksiders : Wrath of War was also playable in Tokyo so here is an exclusive video.
Combat isnt the focus of this game the enemies are as challenge as the ones in OoT,they will represent no challenge at all,maybe in harder difficulties, this aint Ninja Gaiden you know its all about the exploration =)
Also the game its "Darksiders" only now it doesnt have the "Wrath of War" anymore in the title =)
Yes adter watching the gameplay I must say the player isnt very good,he didnt know what to do,he keeps doing the same move over and over,maybe he is not into this type of game or something.
One thing Im happy about its that Vigil seems to have fixed the hit detection now with every swing of the the ChaosEater at any enemie the react to the hit even the small ones and that is awesome.
I didnt say he sucked I say he didnt know what to do thats all,yes he tried and its good and all but for a demo representation he wasnt the best player.
If I was there I would make some cool combos and throws and stuff like that maybe some power usage too.
Trying to hit a wall over and over with a barrel is fun for some folks. The game looks like fun, I hope they kick it up a couple notches though. Would be a nice "fun-time" game to waste some hours with.
@yhummo: I hardly think he enjoyed hitting the wall over and over again with a barrel. More like he was trying to throw the barrel but he couldn't get his way around the controls.
And i agree with lRAlPT0lR, the gamer sucked hard. You generally don't know how to play a game for the first time, but when is an action beat'em up, you usually know what to do in the worst case scenario, just so you don't look lame: You start tapping everything. Clearly, this was a first for that gamer, or maybe he was too distracted with Bayonetta at his side.
Games like this, Bayonetta and N32 is what we need since NG turned gore in favor of fanservice. Looking forward to it.

I was under the impression this was meant as more of an adventure title in the vein of Zelda than a pure button basher like DMC/ GOW.
Exactly this game isnt in the same genre of DMC/GoW/NG at all,its more like Metroid/Zelda OoT with a little combat similar to GoW but not to focused in that.
But for some reason maybe for demo purposes they show only combat and although its good IMO its not the selling point for me.
Say what you will about people being douches, but watching a guy standing in a corner flailing a drum around isn't especially entertaining or informative :P

EDIT - game looks awesome though, after the GOW series, this genre is quickly becoming my favourite.

it was these kind of games and rpgs that populated and made my gaming years with last gen so awesome!
