digi_matrix I don't think you've played enough Metro, because there is humor in these games to offset. Uhlman in 2033 was pretty much comedic relief. Call of Duty takes itself more seriously than Metro. (28 minutes ago) -

Love this series. Couldn't get into Devil May Cry because of terrible story/environments but GoW gets it! Story is interesting (thanks to Greek mythology) and the environments kick ass (at least in previous gow games). Still I wonder how the loss of creative people (Jaffe and Barlog) will affect this.
GoW is kinda samey but in teh otehr direection, it's just too gory and brutal for me to take it seriously. Though it seems to do so itself. But it's fun to play so i let it slide :)
