TGS09: Gravity Crash gameplay

DjMizuhara managed to capture some Gravity Crash footage at the TGS , a game that should remind you guys a lot of the glory days of shoot'em ups. Old gamers should be very pleased and younger ones definitely should take a look.

Looks kind of cool!

DJ Mizuhara, you kind of missed the "no video or pictures" icons down there ;-)

I think ive got it. hopefully. Anyway reminds me a lot of 'asteroids' from back in the day. A good thing.

@ Firewire, dude those no video, no photo were all over the place...thats why it was so hard to get decent footage out of TGS. :(

This game is awesome...minds me when I played on my Amiga back in the day, so for me these retro style games are perfect for me.

I think the little graph means the game will not feature in-game camera and phone icons. Which is just as well, it would just be silly.

Not completely sold on the game yet, seems a bit dull, but perhaps in later levels and with a fantastic soundtrack (this needs the same sound engineer behind Shatter!) it could pull it off. They've mentioned before it will come out before PixelJunk's Shooter, which will be their main competition for sales I suppose. I know PJ can make great stuff, but what about the guys behind this?

It looks face-smackingly gorgeous though, deffo has that going for it.

(shame I can't edit my previous post)

I read this game will come with a proper level editor, that might give it an edge over many other PSN games. Being able to make and share your own levels certainly is a worthy feature.

  • Melmoth
Melmoth @Tiz: Most big games were larger than what a standard CD-ROM disc could store, so it wasn't unusual that pirated games were lacking audio tracks or movies. (5 Hours ago)

Melmoth @Tiz: Sega used a proprietary GD-ROM format (about 1GB discs) for storage. It did not stop piracy though as you with a bootdisc could start cd-r copies without the need to hard mod the console. (5 Hours ago)

GriftGFX I think it was apparent to people.. even before the system launched.. that the early launch of the Dreamcast was risky. So I can see how EA might want to play hardball to sweeten the deal on said risk (8 Hours ago)
