As usual now we are having some technical issues, some videos being lost. So while our guys over there go back and record some more footage here is a short but really sweet video of Gran Turismo 5.

GT5 makes Forza 3 look blocky as hell, and this is coming from someone who much prefers Forza over GT any day of the week.

GT5 makes Forza 3 look blocky as hell, and this is coming from someone who much prefers Forza over GT any day of the week.

I think you need to get your eye's checked.

Great job gamersyde. GT5 looks AWESOME like always (pit crew looks great). But release date is a parody :p

BTW I wonder if in F3 cars in pit stop will levitate just like in F2 or T10 gonna make pit crew.

Good god those are some amazing shaders! I just wanna know if they kept the tire screech sound effect. As much as I hate it, it's been there for so long, will it still be GT if they change it?!!...

Graphics in this game aren't an issue whatsoever (apart from those terrible low-res shadow maps and some dodgy HDR effects on the cars) but there is something about it that just doesn't knock my socks off when seeing it in motion, and I know what it is. It's how the cars look when they're on the road, how they react to the tarmac. I don't mean to turn this into another convoluted and protracted debate Vs " that other game" but when you watch the cars in that other game, you do get a clear sense of weight on the cars as it shifts around the suspension from back to front as the cars negotiate bends and whatnot. The cars just have a more natural and realistic presense to them that looks really pleasing on the eye, and that's down to the physics, which it seems that GT just hasn't moved on from that much from the last gen. Just my opinion. Don't go nuts or anything.

The more videos i see about this game, the more i wanna check it out. Although i did not like the 4th one.
Hopefully the devs did their jobs concerning the atmosphere. I mean a better AI, and more rumble besides the driving like box-stops and racing teams. Or at least a decent online mode.

I'm pretty sure that is just a guess on their part. Its like EBgames here adding dates to games when they think it will be out.

I respect your opinion but i really disagree. Forza looks way too floaty as it is now , and breaks the realism for me. There's a distinct disconnect of how a car would look and feel while it interacts with the road. I really hope they fix that. I also think prologue's car physics are a major step forward since GT4. Driving without all the assists on pro physics is just an insanely realistic experience (with steering wheel ofcourse) as far as racing games go.

I repeat the release date is sorta killing me though. I need my GT :(

Fantastic! Even those animations of hands switching gears are incredible. Im glad that both, PS3 and XB360, have their own "leaders" in racing simulations. I have PS3, so I love GT5, but Ive also played Forza and its amazing game as well. Just that release date could be sooner.

A Japanese game, that has only official japanese release date at 03.2010 cannot possibly be released earlier in Germany. Or anywhere else. The whole idea of EU getting it before JAP is silly.
Other thing, did not Yamauchi say that GT5 will be released much closer to the release date of GT PSP than we think? 6 months is not what i had in mind, when he said that.
Also, did not Yamauchi say the game is pretty much done and it needs some polish to be perfect? Wasnt that an august statement?
I hope, as a GT fan since GT2, that this game will deliver. Im getting sceptical.

See people the last trailer was all in game, look how brilliant the cockpit looks!!!

Best looking racing game ever made, i have a friend from France who lives in Japan and was at TGS just to check out GT5, and he said the game look as good as the Ferrari italia trailer.

and the driving physics are way better now, it feels smoother then prologue and it feel more natural.

he also said when he was playing over 50 people were watching with their jaw wide opened lol.

@dingleberry , sorry but most console games have the smae problems with shadows "low-res shadow maps"

anyways these videos and the car model, lighting looks as detailed as the the Ferrari italia tribute trailer.

There seems a distinct lag from the guy's steering actions being translated into the game, has that always been there?

GT5:P is my first GT ever and I can't wait for this full version to come out, regardless of whatever Forza may do better. I just hope you can arrange your own starting grids, because the automatic match-up seems flawed. Most of the time you get (for instance) an Elise in the field and they do laptimes about 2/3 seconds faster than what I can muster with the car I'm driving (standard setup).

I wanna do a Suziku Swift only race damnit! :)
