What's with the modern apartment? Is this some sort of AC type story? I hope not. Anyhow the lighting looks awesome and great models. I'm just still very worried by how unfinished the gameplay looks. With a good lock on system this game could be really cool. Fingers crossed.

Deep Downgrade... The first trailer was really awesome, but the actual gameplay is not that great. I´m not saying it looks bad, but looks like another game.

I wish to see a Demon Souls or "something" Souls on next gen consoles. It would look awesome for sure!

the game looks interesting but nowhere near the graphical quality of february reveal, hopefully the developers could up the graphics...

I'm honestly not expecting this until well into next year, if not end of. So I'm guessing they'll have plenty of time to sort the Gameplay (mainly just adding a hard lock on)

@KORNdog: What do you mean by "hard lock on", KORNdog?
The great thing about the spear is that it can freely stab at the enemy, enabling the fighter to target individual hit spots and giving his weapon's reach so much more meaning.

I've heard similar theories. That it'll do to the fantasy genre what RESI 4 did to horror in regards to limb specific aiming. But it's one thing to shoot a guy in the knee, it's another to jab at it lamely over and over and over. I'd rather have a hard lock on to effectively and fluidly strafe and perry around an enemy ala demon's souls. By all means keep the ability to target limbs like a third person shooter, but a hard lock would help smoothen out what currently looks quite clunky. It might be a case of this aiming method being exclusive to spears, but i imagine it's not. In which case swinging a sword will be incredibly clunky and unsatisfying.

graphics will improve as the time goes on. I still don't know why Sony engys are on this title though

I think they're trying to lock down exclusivity. Much like demon's souls and them helping out FROM. I didn't know sony where helping them until today. Prior to that i assumed the games exclusivity would just be timed. But if sony are helping capcom out, i'm not sure if that can even happen now? Maybe it's just a favour, help them wrap their head around the new tech so the game can look as good as it can.

@KORNdog:
Aiming for specific body parts is integral to any combat discipline (firearm, blade, barehanded, ...) and will expand the gameplay in ways that most gamers can't even imagine. This kind of combat is the revolution the video game industry is in need of, since many years!
The reason it looks clunky in most videos is likely that the people playing it SUCK. A veteran player will surely wield any weapon in the game like a fine instrument of death.
Further, swinging a sword in specific angles and stabbing with it (yes, swords can stab too, my friend) can work just as fine, it's just a matter of programming.
Believe me when I-as a practicioner of historical free-fighting with all manner of weapons, armour and imaginable techniques-tell you that fighting games that do not let you aim at specific points of the body with all weapons defy their potential greatly! Button-mashing combat (like Dragon's Dogma, Ryse, God of War, ...) is not only the worst representation of real fighting I can imagine but also stagnates the industry and stupifies its consumers.
Most of you gamers out there have simply NO IDEA what makes a good fighting game because you know nothing about fighting.

I've seen gameplay from the developers, and while it was indeed better then that of the 'tards who pick up a controller at a convention. It was still clunky. You're running at an enemy that is moving, using a charged, piercing attack with a weapon with a TINY area of effect. That enemy just sways slightly and you've missed. I'm not asking for god of war or ryse, god no. I'm asking for demon's souls. A hardcore, stamina driven, tactical combat system. Not a poking simulator...

Also, "practitioner of historical free fighting" lol

So i guess that's a self given title after doing this a few times.

The visual downgrade is obvious once you consider the nature of the game. It's an MMO, and to have visuals like this in that genre is not too shabby. Had the game been a more contained affair like the demo, then most certainly it would have looked just like it. That demo was all real time regardless, so yeah, I'm not to worried about being duped.

@KORNdog:
My favourite games are Mount&Blade and the Souls Series. Still, this title has something new that the others might very well think to integrate as well.
Dark Souls 2 (as the pinnacle Souls game) is sadly still lacking a free aiming combat-system which is quite a shame considering that it makes almost everything right; yet many other games such as Mount&Blade or War of the Roses already use this. Further the Souls games feature elements that detract from a good fighting experience, namely "Backstab" and "Parry/Ripost".
What it does right however and Deep Down should use as well is an elaborate stamina system (at least it seems to be lacking in the TGS demo).

Concerning my personal experiences, THIS is what I do:

I doubt you've ever experienced anything like this in your life.
