TGS: NFS The Run video

TGS: NFS The Run video

DJmizuhara really is the brave type of dude. I mean, he's all exhausted because of the few days he spent for us in the craziness of TGS, and he keeps sending us gameplay footage instead of heading straight to bed. This time, it is Need For Speed: The Run's turn to show itself.

Looks nice, how about the controls?
are the controls like burnout? like hot pursuit from criterion? or the sucki from all NFS games?
the pseudo burnout steering from hot pursuit suck imo.
hope they can do better now.

Not bad. But will it all be desert racing? Or will we get to race in cities as well?

I cant see any difference between this and hot pursuit?

Looks pretty, but no different to hot pursuit without drifting

Yes, of course. A city map was shown a few months ago.

Shame it's not just one big massive streaming run from west to east without loading

Played it at gamescom, some major tearing going on, no AA and the framrate took some hits. From a distance it looked awesome, upclose it was kinda meh

Does this game even attempt to do anything new other than the idiotic freerunning QTE sections? With all the amazing games coming out in the next few months, I find it very hard to even fake interest in a game where your only goal is passing other cars on a road.

Maybe I'm just burned out on racing games, but other than graphics, how is this any different than the NFS game I played back on my Sega Saturn in 1995?

It's Blackbox....what do we expect...as far as i know they have made many games and many games have not been great.

Why EA continue plowing money into this dev team i'l never know.

maybe if most of you actually got a chance to PLAY this rather than farting out random crappy excuses you'd have somthing decent to say, i got a chance to play this @ gamefest @ the NEC on sunday and since the very first NFS ive been waiting for an NFS game to come close to it and this is definatly it, no screen tearing at all, fast smooth frame rate and great gameplay, for the fist time since 1995 i can actually say im looking forward to a NFS game that does essentially what the first game set out to do but hardware limitations ect made it impossable.

i got a time of 2.49 however ben collins (old stig) posted a time of 2.32 which lots of people tried to beat, fact is why do people continue to moan about certain dev teams when its not like your being forced to buy these games in the first place lol.

I going to stick with shift 2. No cockpit view in this game.

no cockpit view lol again i played this at gamefest on sunday and yes there is a cockpit view, somtimes it helps when you actually get the chance to play games months before there release rather than speculating about certain aspects like a cockpit view if you havnt even played it your self just by juding a game from a video of gameplay from an event like TGS.

About the game

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Distribution is definitely a problem. I've heard Switch is pretty easy to find in certain parts of Europe. Not so easy in the USA. (1 Hour ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth like here (norway) i know people who preordered it, none got it. so they can't have sent many this way. Personally i wasn't planning on getting one, but i feel sorry for those who tried and failed. (2 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth themselves), they should have put out a few more runs to atleast cover the people pre-ordering it. i'm fine with limited time availability otherwise. (2 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth the whole nes-mini thing was lame. i understand they planned it as a limiteds-time release so people could get something cool for christmas 2016, but when they misjudged the marked (which they said.. (2 Hours ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks I stopped trying to make sense of Ninty's decisions a long time ago lol. "This cheap machine prints money? naaaah" (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I guess it was supposed to be a limited run in the first place.. but you'd think it'd be a pretty easy way to make money too. (3 Hours ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks yeah they certainly decided against trying to meet demand. They probably wanted to focus on Switch demand above all (3 Hours ago)
