Sweet lord the gameplay just looks so clunky and awful. I may have to. Take back my deep down comment as this is looking pretty bad as well. Maybe a tie? Obviously a better player would make these games look better but damn.... Just damn...

Even the solo looks awful. They had the potential to bring a true HD gladiator game, instead we get this mess of a QTE game.

Wow. I guess we see what happens when you button mash in the game- they died a lot. Geez, those guys were so bad they couldn't even surround the one enemy. It obviously is very timing based though, which is a good thing, IMO.

The lighting and skin shaders look very nice, but hopefully the cloth sim issues in this vid will be ironed out. Nice to see some different armor too.

Saying it's a QTE game is asinine, btw. It's shown fewer QTE type stuff than God of War sports, and no one calls that a QTE fest, ffs. It's not a "gladiator game" anyway. That's just for the multiplayer bit.

I really wish they'd show more SP...

This guy is just... terrible. Holy crap. He's the same as those guys they get to play racing games and the most they can accomplish is successfully hitting ever side rail in the game. I wanted to just take the controller out of his hands. And he had an "xbox" shirt on! Doesn't that mean he should have SOME clue as to how to combo in that game???

That's a blatant lie. This game definitely uses more QTEs (when played right). People who know how to play see more QTEs, and God of War made you work more to get the QTEs (usually). The QTEs aren't necessarily a bad thing. In fact, when I first heard of this game I was sort of intrigued by the thought of a QTE driven Roman gladiator game.

Uggh. Interest is this game is quickly approaching 0. If you are going to develop a shallow hack n slash/QTE game that focuses on melee, at least get the animation, physics, and hit detection down. Other than pretty visuals this just looks awful.

Repetitive animations, weak physics, and half the hits go through the enemies or allies if they aren't scripted to hit. Stuff like that is acceptable (although annoying) in huge, deep games like the Elder Scrolls, but we shouldn't seeing this crap on games that are meant to showcase the glory of "next gen", especially if their main focus is combat and not exploration, strategy, or role playing. If this is next gen, I think I'll hold off for a while....

The animation in this game is just horrible and jerky. Completely ruins it for me. In one part the guy gets hit 3 times in a row and the EXACT same animation jerkily reappears each hit. This is NO next gen. It's a graphical tech demo for a weak system which will be handily outdone shortly after this next gen begins. This, coming from a person who loves Crytek, Crysis and (past) Xbox's.
