Totally not the same! I slap myself! I was thinking of the big iron ball weapon in Zelda TP which does feel similar, but it just totally isn't apart from that.
Anyway, making this post into something more than just the monologue that should be on the INSIDE of my head, I agree that you need more abilities before the combat feels better. I'm not convinced it's that remarkable as a game despite that, but it's surely good fun nontheless, based on the demo.
Tips for Dj: Use lock on more often, and use R2 for the dodgind ability, very useful at times, and you never used it in that clip.

he should try to use more combos .. well the game isn't all that hard so he won't run into much trouble with his playing style ,but it just feels better ,if you use long combos and always capture like 4+ souls at once :P
are the picture cutscenes from the demo gone? only real CGI cutscenes??
does the game have english language everywhere (not only cutscenes) is it perfectly playable for a non japanese?
