Capcom announced today that the demo of Lost Planet would be available on Xbox Live on November 23rd, and released these 5 images showing the level we will happily fight in.
I think at that time I will be playing Gears of War online mostly, but I'll give it a try once I can force myself to stop playing GoW :P Really looking forward to this game!
The graphics clearly have been tuned down a lot but hopefully if it's fun it will be no problem and I am pretty sure it will. Look at those explosions Yummy!
If I can PRY myself off GOW- I'll give this a shot. It look decent and the single player demo was very cool. And it coming out in January is enough time between that and Gears...
@ alimo.. that pick only has dark textures, the above pics are captured weirdly. The smoke and bloom effects go crazy (pixelizes) with how they captured this.
But dun' worry, multiplayer looks as good as singleplayer. (why would the graphics be downgraded anyways? haven't you played the singleplayer demo in the part where robots fire 1000's of missiles at you without noticing any framedrop?)

After playing Gears of War, it's harder to accept that multiplayer modes are just supposed to be toned down. I don't see much of a quality gap here though, it looks great..and I'm looking forward to playing this demo.
I'll gladly play this. I've beaten GOW enough now, and MP is ridiculous in it at this point. Can't tell who anybody is if you're Locust. And no one seems to want to play co-op. So I'm definately looking forward to Lost Planet.
I think GOW is one of the ugliest games ever released. And not the good, inspired ugly. The generic ugly. So don't go comparing something as beautiful as LP to GOW. I've yet to play LP multiplayer, but it seems more fun also. So get offa that hype train.
I hear all of you saying if you can bring yourselves to come of GoW, by the 23rd, you will download it, but a new scenery and gameplay will be something a lot of us will want and this demo will be it. Can't wait to play LP online, looks like superb fun :)
I don't think it's downgraded, it's just bad pics like some have said. If you watched the recent vids, the game looks absolutely gorgeous in sp and mp. I am with agreeance with some though, I have a bias for Gow, I don't think too many is gonna be beating that out for a while now. I just got mine yesterday and for free cuz the woman didn't scan the game properly, and I just got done killing those Theron guards in the caves right before the academy. So far, a excellent game.

Gears of War IS definately doned down in multiplayer. Multiplayer ALWAYS looks worse than single player.

Bullshit. Unless you have played the game I suggest you keep quiet. The environments are some of the most beautiful I have seen in quite some time, graphically AND artistically.
Yes, the architecture of the city areas were phenemonally detailed and artistically mapped. I actually intentionally came to this game with underhyped impression and so far, it is by far the most graphically beautiful game I've seen. Especially with that one rain level. That looks gorgeous.
