Made for the PSP Would Be = Win. For the PS3 = Epic FAIL!
To bad the water effect in the game is totally killing me however.
i kinda expected a game with such a basic art/graphic style to be chock full of environmental "decoration", but this looks pretty bland and empty, i mean, surely they can get more then a few trees and bushes in the environment?
In fact, the only thing that's graphically interesting is the DOF effect used here. It gives the effect that you're looking at a tiny world through a macro lens. That should have been used for the Lego games if you ask me.
And From Software went from Demon's Souls to this? Wow.
Finally, what's with that sword?
Right?
...
Guys?
And how the hell did they manage to include frame drops in such a basic optic anyway?
I will stay away from it…
Despite seeming to own up to Zelda (mainly LttP appearantly), it doesn't have a patch on feeling or style when compared to those Link adventures. Which is a shame, because I would like to play something close to Zelda gameplay, but with a little more maturity to the story (which this game still might hold). And at a full retail price I don't see this doing very well outside of Japan, at a lower "PSN price" it might. I feel Trine is already too expensive and that seems to cater a lot more atmosphere and polish than this. Hope to see something more from 3D Dot Game Heroes, maybe later dungeons and story execution might explain or show a hidden depth I seem to be missing.
However, I don't like 3D Dot Game Heroes, mainly for its looks... obiously the devs tried to mix the vibe of the 16-bit era with modern technology, but it just ends up looking odd in my opinion.
I feel like starting a Zelda discussion! ^_^
I wish someone would blatantly clone Ocarina of Time, imho the best game of the series and unreached by each one of its successors. Nintendo should do it, but they won't drop this "innovate everything" mentality. Seeing TLoZ: Spirit Tracks gives me no hope whatsoever in the new Zelda title for Wii that's in the works right now. ST is probably a great game (is it already released? I dunno), just like Phantom Hourglass, but I think most Zelda fans want a new OoT instead of Wind Waker sequels, just like I do.
Without completely derailing the thread but, I just have to state:
Zelda: A link to the past > Everything.
DJ my question as always: is there english text, menus etc. in the japanese version?
Wasn't expecting much from this game and the video doesn't really make me think otherwise.
I loooooooove it!!!!
this is the first time i would say this
BUT i would gladly buy the PS3 only for this...forget about gt5 & GOW3
Great game....this is what zelda shouldve been like
Really cute and classic
Ist only on the PS3???
